Almost 2 years of ownership no issues and I've inspected the area as it's easy to see by removing the glove box. Why mess with something that doesn’t have an issue. Just my opinion.

I hear you and that's why I'm not having this done. I will keep an eye on it and thinking of a better solution to protecting the BCM. Ford just comes up with these BS solutions without thinking about there customers. CHEAP AS POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS.

Mine broke after I left it down and hit it when I got in the car. Replased under warranty. I's a crappy place for it like it better when it was in the lower right drivers area.
From what I'm told I have the option to not do the recall but if something happens in the future Ford won't be rsponsible. If anyone has a copy of the entire recall I would love to read it to see exactly what they are going to do.
