How do you get your oil temperature up to 245 on public roads? I have never seen higher than 220s on public roads, trying to increase the temperature.I took the car out for another run on the highway this evening because I needed to check the transmission fluid, and I was able to get the AEM engine oil temperature gauge up to 245 and the inferred temp showed 238.
The only real trends I can see so far is 1. Cruising at low rpm the inferred temps read high by up to 10 degrees and 2. The inferred temp does not change as quickly as the actual temps shown on the AEM gauge when pushing the car or after easing off. In both instances, the aftermarket gauge shows temperatures either increasing or decreasing faster than the inferred.
