At the recent managers' conference in Nevada, Ford executives announced a 4 door Mustang WILL be built. The mock-ups looked like a cross between an AM Vanquish and a Porsche Panamera. Hope to see some design renderings soon. Hope it's not a friggin' EV!

According to stangmode rumor, so take with a grain of salt, internally Ford is debating whether to make a V8 model available or not. Major flop is no affordable V8 in my eyes. Should be close to the pricing of the coupe

I can't see the V8 starting at less than $50K...which admittedly would still be a steal compared to the Charger, but whether $50K is affordable or not comes down to the individual.

If no V8 is offered, that actually wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. I can't picture the EcoBoost sounding any better than it ever will with or without the active exhaust, but maybe they offer a sweet sounding V6 (Nissan GT-R or Ford GT-like?) as the high-end option instead?

50k though is starting to become the norm anyways. Hot hatches are now creeping beyond that in some trims and that’s been a big negative for that type a car. For a V8 I can see it being more palatable.
