Driving Score on Infotainment Screen

Started my GT 6 speed the other day and the Infotainment screen posted a driving score of 92%. Apparently, I got docked for snapping my wife's head against the head rest passing a goof who wasn't cooperating on merge. I read this information, which I wouldn't know how or care to share with my insurer, can be used to increase, I mean, lower rates. Has anyone else got this flash?

I sure as Hell never gave them permission. I am more worried about the GPS tracking and somebody finding out where I’ve been. That could be bad in a roadside check.

I had done a factory reset on my car to troubleshoot an OTA update issue... I was greeted with the ask permission for ford to collect data screen.... opted out of course. Not sure if the permissions can be changed later or if there is a place to check (and change) them. I would try to verify that those permissions are all off.

I saw this on mine as well one day, and never really thought much about it.
Maybe, I'll check it out when its not around 100 degrees outside this weekend.

Speaking of which did a 3 hour drive in that extreme heat and oil temp never went over 194, which is great.

I think if you turn it off, then from Ford app you cannot locate, start, unlock or lock the car. Also cannot see car status. but I sure want to know where the score is displayed.

I have mine turned off, but I do not have remote start. You can still locate it, though only through directions, not the exact GPS locations through the app: that has to open in a third-party app (Waze , apple/Google Maps). I can still lock and unlock it as well with everything turned off.

Everybody is misreading this.

That 92% is the amount your insurer adds to your next renewal. This was signed into law last fall and has already hit millions of Americans.

That might be mixed up with my house insurance premium. It doesn't even leave the parking space.

You can turn off “share your driving data” in the Ford app. Vehicle info and remote start will still work.

Ford app > tap on the “head and shoulders” icon at top right > Legal and Privacy > Privacy and Data Sharing > Manage data with Ford > Set Preferences > toggle Driving Data to OFF.

I still haven’t found where in the onboards menus the “driving coach” stuff is buried.
