The Voodoo platform was amazing.....until the engine went boom. That was and still is, was the 500 pound gorilla in the room. My 17 GT350 was a blast to drive until it blew the No. 7 rod through the block. Then I had to fuss and argue, and though I won, I had it replaced with the Gen2 engine; I would not want to go through that experience again.

My DH is my replacement for the GT350. I love the 6-speed, I love the rev match, I love the refinements the S650 brings. As I said before, I have the fun and agility of my GT350, and the power my GT500 had. Best of both worlds IMO, and I am having a blast.

All those engine issues also kept me away from the GT350, which would be an otherwise great car, just too much of a risk. One of our local guys had his Voodoo blow, too. No thanks.

When I was shopping to replace my 2021 GT500, I had the intention of purchasing a GT350. But as I looked around, finding a GT350 with GEN 2, at a reasonable price point, was not happening. I refused to pay 100k for a 7~8+ year old platform. Also, I found that someone in our Mustang group had a GEN2 go boom at the track. Not sure what happened, but I think it turned me to start looking at the S650 platform.

Yes, and I'm one of them! Nonetheless, I feel like Rodney Dangerfield! I get no respect!

You S650 EB Mustang owners are most welcome! I owned an EB Focus ST and Focus RS before my GT and loved both of 'em.

@Racer57 --Welcome and congrats on your new Shelby!

because Shelbys logo is a snake. Shelby doesnt sell a cobra, havent since the original Shelby Cobra in the 60's, if youre looking at 810hp then its a "GT350". but that's all semantics, end of the day theyre all supercharged Mustang GTs so yes, this would be the best forum for you.
Thanks for that reply as there are some of us on here (at least me) who are interested, but really don't the difference as we try to learn what you and others know about these cars.

they only real difference between the cars is the Shelby branded parts. the supercharger, tires, etc. can all be had aftermarket.

Apparently I was wrong thinking my car was a Cobra, but the window sticker is my excuse. :)

Congrats. Btw: i could probably be ‘forced’ into making room in my garage if you are so disheartened that you can no longer bare to look at it, 😁

Beautiful!

I recommend for the forum admins to maybe make a new subforum for GT and GTD owners. The Dark Horse SC can go to the Dark Horse forum (maybe rename the existing to "Dark Horse and DHSC Mustang", and create a new "GT and GTD Mustang")?

Great idea. But there is already a Dark Horse sub forum.

Yep. I'm suggesting to rename the DH subforum to include DHSC and create a new subforum for GT/GTD owners. I'm sure the admins have better ideas.

And an Ecoboost sub forum.
But for me I don't see any need of a GT ot Eco subforum. What's wrong with being on one place. The cars are almost identical, only the engine.

Well, there's a Dark Horse forum. So i can see how GT and GTD owners feel a bit lost where to go. DHSC owners can at least jump into the DH one.
