I’m having a problem with the rubber pad that’s located by the cigarette lighter port (where a wireless phone charger should be). It scuffs very easy and the marks don’t go away( very frustrating). Did anyone else have this issue? I thought about getting a new one from Ford, but I assume the same thing will happen. Has anyone heard of another place that makes a replacement?

Mine had a few scuffs on it when I got the car. I used some 303 aerospace protectant and it's been fine ever since. Also the wireless charging feature is not something you should miss. Newer phone use Qi2 charging and the pad only supported older phones. If you really want a charger, buy one of the updated Qi2 chargers and plug it in there. I use that space for receipts from the market generally not much else so I don't have any problems with abrasion marks.

You can also buy little tray pads on eBay or Amazon for that space with a Mustang logo or something else. If you put that down you won't see any marks. Make sure you buy one for the correct year because the shape is slightly different.

I got a new one from Ford and it scuffed up again within a few months. I ended up getting small pad set from Amazon that fits over it.

I was actually going to 3d scan that section of the car this week and start coming up with some custom inserts in CAD. I mainly wanted to make something to be an exact fit for my phone with a little tray. Once I design something, I will share it.

Thanks for the information.

Even brand new these come with scuffs. I wish I could find one with dividers/compartments, for things like gate fobs, memory cards for dashcams, etc.
