Turn on backup camera?

Here is my small garage. Not everybody is rich or lives in a country where large garages are affordable. This small garage in The Netherlands can almost buy a house in Spain.

A 2-car garage here cost around 150k-200k Euro's. You can buy a house with a garage in some states of the US.

I don't necessarily want to see more features added to the Mustang because modern Mustangs are already expensive and overweight. But I did envy my friend's Hyundai crossover that has 360-degree parking cameras. And not just because of small garages; people who lower their Mustangs have to be very cautious about approaching concrete parking bumpers.

There is a guy in Poland who got 360 parking working on his s650. He used the oem parts from a F150.

My wife has a 360 parking camera in her Hyundai. It spoils you real quick. Id settle for just a front camera in the Mustang.

Yes I didn’t think there was but thought that I would ask because on my 2019 Jeep Cherokee I can.

Also fyi I pull into the garage, stop, put it into reverse and then into forward. The the back up camera will come on to help me safely park inside the garage

Thanks for all of the suggestions but I was just hoping that I missed some setting in the Mustang UI that would allow me to have a sw button on the screen that I could use to turn on the backup camera in. Maybe in a future update by ford

Does everybody have really small garages? I am trying to figure out why this is an issue.

I have a two and a half car garage. Width isnt the issue. The issue is most newer track home garages tend to be shallow and the Mustang is a fairly long car. So pulling in far enough to clear the big door and not pulling in too far can be a challenge at first.

Without knowing everybody personally, it's common logic that some have small and some have large garages.

But good to know that you have a large garage.

And I have read enough of your posts to guess that your wealth exceeds mine by a wide margin.

Anyway, your garage may be small, but that is a very neat looking interior space. You definitely know how to make it look impressive.

And, yeah, like AZRyan wrote, most houses in the US include a 2 car garage. 3 car is becoming the new standard, and the newer homes going up around me include huge garages.

But I posted mainly because I recently cleaned out my elderly, widowed mother's 2 car garage so she could park inside (lots of persons fill up their garages as a storage space and then cannot park inside ), and it had a lot of room to pull in and park without using any visual cues for pulling forward and stopping. If I had to guess (and it is just a guess), it is close to 30 x 30, or in metric terms about 9 x 9 meters. Given that a Mustang is less than 5 meters in length, there is just an absurdly large amount of space in which to park without worrying about running into anything. Even my mother was surprised at how much room there was once I cleaned the space out and opened it up.

Maybe with FORScan. There is existing configuration in the APIM to put a camera button on the touchscreen.

I tried this on my 2024 a while back and the button never showed up.

I am aware of how things are in your country. I have been to your country many times, and it was one of my favorite places to visit. I even saw Pink Floyd in concert there (Nijmegen, Goffertpark, in 1989).

My comment was more aimed in general at the thread, as I was surprised to see so many posters (mostly American) installing these feelers and visual cues.
