Just so I understand, if my VIN shows up as 0 unrepaired recalls on the NHTSA.Gov site, then I don't need to worry about this, correct?

You should be searching for open recalls. Ford Pass will tell you.Just so I understand, if my VIN shows up as 0 unrepaired recalls on the NHTSA.Gov site, then I don't need to worry about this, correct?
Thanks - Ford Pass app also states 0 active recalls. Normally I'd just accept it at face value and move on, but this is my first new Ford in quite some time. I have been and still am in GM trucks since 2004 and have learned to NOT believe everything the apps, letters in the mail, and even face-to-face at the dealer tell me... I'd much rather trust the community as a whole. You should be searching for open recalls. Ford Pass will tell you.
Ford support has an open recall search by VIN.Thanks - Ford Pass app also states 0 active recalls. Is there someplace to see which vehicles are effected by this recall?

Did you have to remove any of the plastic molding to get to this BCM, seems to be partially covered.I did look how it was falling onto the BCM, the connectors themselves are pretty well sealed so I'd imagine its just enough to get in and cause a bit of corrosion. most of the water ended up inside from the top of the BCM and just sat at the bottom. I was able to shake a decent amount out of it before opening the case to get the motherboard out. I believe they applied grease to the thicker female connectors but not the smaller ones. I pulled the BCM out right after it rained as well. I couldn't imagine how bad it could have been if the board wasn't epoxied.
I was waiting for the spring but after seeing the pics in this thread I'm thinking I'm not doing it. I think I will be having a long, hard discussion with the manager at my dealership! GlennYou're not alone. I don't trust dealers. I haven't had mine done and don't plan on it.
By plastic molding are you referring to the trim inside the vehicle? Or the plastic housing the BCM itself sits inside?Did you have to remove any of the plastic molding to get to this BCM, seems to be partially covered.
This hose test is very evasive, feels like I do this when I wash the car
Trim in vehicle, I pulled it and it unclipped but the floor molding seems to be in way of getting it completely off.By plastic molding are you referring to the trim inside the vehicle? Or the plastic housing the BCM itself sits inside?
So I pulled out the plastic trim on door sill and the fuse box cover with the piece next to it(don’t know what that’s called) and had to pull back the carpet some to easily get it out. There’s little hook tabs on the top of the bcm so you have to push it up some to get it to come out of the topTrim in vehicle, I pulled it and it unclipped but the floor molding seems to be in way of getting it completely off.
I need to get back under and try harder probably

Now that sucks to hear, sorry you are having to deal with that.A little update for this thread..It has been about a month and a half since I had the recall procedure done. today it rained quite hard and noticed my interior lights started flickering again and the ambient lights were stuck on. naturally my first suspicion is the check the BCM..
And to my surprise (not) it is indeed soaked full of water again even after this patch was done. Taking it back to the dealer sometime. I encourage everyone to perform their own water test thoroughly if they've had this recall done. I assume mine was a bad patch and will send a picture of it when I can.
