Took my 25 gt 60 year convertible to dealer for recall on bcm and was told it takes at least two days because they have to call a glass company to seal then dry out and put a water test on it for several hours. Anyone else dealt with this yet.

I dropped my Eco-Boost sedan off at 7:30, picked it up at 2:30. Maybe convertibles take longer, but I don't know why?

With all due respect to the OP, there are TONS of threads going on this subject already. We don't need another one.

No, convertibles do not take longer, but some dealers are obvious SLOW or INCOMPETENT. My GT convertible was about the same as yours. Took about 7 hours. The technician that did mine was very good. She was doing quite a few, including ones at the dealer which were on hold.

Mine was an overnight stay. Said they need to let the sealant cure overnight before leak test in morning.

Understand just what I was told. Maybe our cold temperature had something to do with it but seems dealers are very inconsistent.
Dealers are being VERY inconsistent with this recall service. That's why I'm leary of taking mine in.

Good to hear Ford has a documented procedure and process that all dealers follow. I'll find out next week. Me and the service manager likely have already agreed on OUR procedure to get through Ford's. 🙄 .

Like I just told another customer in the pharmacy, "there aren't too many wise people left", after he admitted he was joking with a wise crack to the clerk.
