In my search for a new Dark Horse, I made the mistake of also finding the new GT350 at my local dealer. I know the GT350 is surrounded by a ton of negativity. I suspect a lot of that negativity is more on price vs capabilities, but I was certainly impressed with its appearance as I felt it was very well done. Just wondered everyone’shy thoughts as the car seems like a great looking car. There are obviously a lot of options between RTR and Saleen with similar SC builds but the Shelby appears to draw my attention. Playing the allocation game and dealer markup game for a Dark Horse SC isn’t really what I’m dying to do over the next 12-18 months.

Depends on how much the "Shelby" name means to you. If it means a lot, maybe the GT350 will keep your heart content. But, if not, I think you'll find a Dark Horse with a Tremec manual and a Whipple to be more capable and a lot more bang for buck
Thanks!!

After a deep search of Dark Horse's, I found a '25 that is spec'd reallynice. I can get for dealer invoice, and minus the hold back. So that is a good deal on the DH. Has the handling pack already. So adding a SC, is going to be $20k, I assume. AND I need to find a dealer who can actually do it. My job doesn't allow me to travel the state or country to get to the "right" installer. My pricing, despite discounts, on the GT350, would put me $25k more vs the DH with handling pack, and with SC installed. $25k is a lot of money, but personally, I like the Shelby, and like the Shelby name. Just need to try and justify, or get my head wrapped around the $25k with the Shelby Hood, Trunk Lid, Spoiler, Stripes, and seat covers. Things sure are different in the car world vs pre-covid. No fun.

Manual or automatic? If manual I'd go the Dark Horse route to get the Tremec

For 45k difference could have the car shipped enclosed trailer to someone to do the install and still have over 20k left over ...

I would do that before I bought a 350 ....

They also have some left over Dark Horses ... carbon fiber wheels painted stripes .. I mean every option marked down into the high 70s ... brand new

I don’t disagree. I had the 6 speed tremec before and loved it. My 61 year old knee, not so much. If I go Dark Horse I’d lean Tremec. If I go GT350 probably Auto , but I’m u decided currently.

I have a 24 Dark horse premium 700a with the handling package tremec 6 speed Recaros and a Whipple Runs as good as a shelby but save a $100,000 for a name of a guy who contributed to the car in no way.
