I hope its not that crazy. If a 'base' DH SC starts around $95K like some people think, I would guess the Shelby base would start around $120K ish. But you could be right, by the time all the bells and whistles are added it could be pushing well near the high 100'sYou want to pay 200K+ for the same car?
I have a feeling we are all going to be disappointed with the price they set the SC at. I'm interested in the CFTP but it's pretty wild how the mustang price has jumped since the GT350/GT500 have come out...which a lot of these cars are inheriting parts off of.

oh yeah, that looks pretty nice. but now think of the dust, dirt, and amount of time it will take to clean it. dark colors are such a double edged sword in terms of appearanceI think the car looks great in black. Especially if the plastic pieces were to be swapped out with carbon fiber.

that's why you gotta get the carbon fiber appearance package. front bumper, mirror caps, and diffuser all in carbon fiber would hopefully price out the wannabes, even at aftermarket rates. that and the actual headlight spacing, since the SC's bumper lines up with wider fendersEcoBoost guys are going to be lining up to buy that bumper

yes, the front fenders are actually wider, but not as wide as the GTDIt is confirmed that the front fenders are actually wider?
Front fenders are replaceable with hand tools tho, so someone doing a front conversion will likely replace them too, no?yes, the front fenders are actually wider, but not as wide as the GTD
true, but it creates a bit of a hassle that most people who just want a front bumper swap would probably be driven away by since it also requires taking off the side skirt, and if they have any custom fender badges, transferring and aligning those too.Front fenders are replaceable with hand tools tho, so someone doing a front conversion will likely replace them too, no?
Badges? We don't need no stinking badges.true, but it creates a bit of a hassle that most people who just want a front bumper swap would probably be driven away by since it also requires taking off the side skirt, and if they have any custom fender badges, transferring and aligning those too.
Not mine to defend but there was word elsewhere that Shelby wanted their royalty fee bumped higher and Ford said not gonna happen. There is legitimate friction now between the two camps. Ford saying things like "Shelby doesn't race" as partial justification for going in a different direction is only adding gas to the fire.Wonder who at Shelby pissed off someone at Ford and what was it over?
