Saw all the confusion concerning the 9.5 vs. 10.0 Quart capacity. Could it be that the extra oil cooler capacity and hoses in the Performance Pack need the extra 1/2 Quart?

The confusion is caused from the Workshop manual listing 9.5qt.

The owners manual shows 10qt.

That is for all 5.0L 'Yotes, PP included.

10 quarts of oil with a new filter puts the oil fill 1 hash mark from the top on my car,

9.5qts would be closer to the middle.

I put 10 in my non-performance pack. The oil is so clear it is pretty tough to see. It seems to be slightly over the full mark. Since it regularly hits 235 degrees it needs all the Pennzoil Ultra Platinum it can get! If I run my A/C temp quickly drops down quite a bit.

At the dealer they will only put 9qt in standard mustang 9.5 in pp and DH. This get its between the low notch and the middle. This could be to cut cost, or it could be to account for condensation build up that could cause the oil to be over full if the driver doesnt drive the crap out of their car and get it hot enough. Reflected in the manual where it says not to add oil if the oil dipstick shows oil on the notch. They always add 9.5 to my DH and I add an extra .5 when I get home as I make sure I get my car good and hot every day I drive it so condensation isnt an issue for me.

No the spec has always been 9.5 the factory made a mistake on the 2024's and corrected it on the 2025 models.

Meaning the 2024 said 10 and the 2025 said 9.5?
Yes but just check your VIN with the dealer to be sure. That's what I did plus got the 2025 manual online and an email from ford stating they made a mistake.

Its the same for all GTs. PPs dont hold more oil.

In what world do oil coolers not raise the oil capacity of a vehicle?
In Ford's world apparently. I doubt the auxiliary cooler really holds that much. We are talking about a 5 liter engine that already takes 10 quarts.
