Really? I'd heard about head gasket probs in the 2.3 Focus engine, are the triples crap too?there isn't a Ford engine out there, outside of the 5.0 with a gear driven oil pump that is not garbage
I realise that but the new Prius is a pretty good looking car and reasonably quick too.I was joking. I'd rather walk.

Ecoboosts can be wet belt or chain, later ISG equipped ones are chain.God help us. Wet belt too?
Maybe you should look at this article on car buzz. I think the 2024GT is sill a bargain. The last two Mustangs I had were a 2008 GT 500 Shelby and a 2020 BULLITT Mustang. The Shelby was a head turner, a beast to drive but simple to operate. The 2020 BULLITT was the best of the Mustangs they produced over a 20 year time frame IMHO. It had enough technology and was in the low $50K price range on the sticker. I believe I bought mine for $47.5K. Sadly because of health reasons, I sold the BULLITT.
Last year July 2024, I bought my GT Premium. I have about 1300 miles on it. Honestly, it's a downgrade from my BULLITT other than the A-10 auto. There are way too many electrical features on the car vs. basic safety items. The dash is a definite safety hazard.
The car has enough power without tuning. My car was $56.5K. Is it worth it? Answer, NO! Ford has priced themselves out of the Mustang business. The only thing I can say is I have a unique car since there are very few on the road. I may look for other options in the Spring.
Somebody else using evidence to make a point. That will get you nowhere on here!Maybe you should look at this article on car buzz. I think the 2024GT is sill a bargain.

I’m not 100% positive because I’m not going to go back and check the previous 41 pages, but I believe it was established in this thread that, while the base GT MSRP isn’t bad relative to past Mustangs, the cost of real world builds has gone up significantly. It is genuinely possible to push a 2025 GT Premium to over 70K, which is more expensive than a 2025 Corvette. I don’t recall another time in the Mustang’s history when that’s been possible (for a GT and not a higher trim).Maybe you should look at this article on car buzz. I think the carbuzz article has some good points if one looks at the inflation numbers and the fact that the 2024 GT Base model is way better car design with much more safety and technology compare to the 1987 GT. I would say that Ford engineering team did an amazing job on the latest model given all the environmental and safety regulations they had to meet. Also the V8 engine had tons of engineering design improvements since 1987. I know that you can get a 2025 corvette or BMW M2 at the top price end of the GT, but those cars maybe better engineered and faster, but they are "NOT THE ICONIC MUSTANG". BTW- I love the fact that the Mustang has a back seat for my Dog otherwise I might have considered buying the corvette, but the C8 has no manual tranny. ;-(I’m not 100% positive because I’m not going to go back and check the previous 41 pages, but I believe it was established in this thread that, while the base GT MSRP isn’t bad relative to past Mustangs, the cost of real world builds has gone up significantly.
