if roush is holding them back too everyone is in for a world of hurt
as previously mentioned, Roush is not holding calibrations.if roush is holding them back too everyone is in for a world of hurt
its honestly unacceptable you paid for a kit and tune they should not be able to hold it back ever.
if you put this on your car and cant get the tune its undrivable
Well, to be fair, Whipple wasn't either when this started. It was the FP/Whipple only. Within 5 days they also stopped. I emailed Roush to find out if they are also changing their tune (pun intended) on this but haven't heard back yet.as previously mentioned, Roush is not holding calibrations.
I doubt Roush is going to change the tune. I emailed them about a month ago about seeing if they were going to do tune updates/change kinda like Whipple was doing and they were pretty adamant about what you see is what you get. Now could other circumstances come up to make them change sure but this seems solely like a Whipple issue.Well, to be fair, Whipple wasn't either when this started. It was the FP/Whipple only. If you watch the posted video you can kind of deduce that of course there isn’t a hold on the Roush tuning because it’s not targeting as much timing as the Whipple tuning. Purely speculative of course. Wink wink.Roush responded to me this afternoon. No hold on either version of their kits...
I could be wrong, but lund has to start with the loaded tune, then modify it? That's my understanding. Tuning is much more involved than what us simple folk can comprehend. It blows my mind how complicated it is.If you watch the posted video you can kind of deduce that of course there isn’t a hold on the Roush tuning because it’s not targeting as much timing as the Whipple tuning. Won’t matter in a couple months anyways. Once Lund gets their tuning figured out for boosted applications we’ll all be switching over to that anyway.
You’re right. They will establish a base tune and then send it out to the tuners to tweak it.I could be wrong, but lund has to start with the loaded tune, then modify it? That's my understanding. The whipple/roush tunes are very different as one only has a single throttle bodyIf you watch the posted video you can kind of deduce that of course there isn’t a hold on the Roush tuning because it’s not targeting as much timing as the Whipple tuning. Purely speculative of course. Wink wink.

The issue is whipple allows 20 deg timing, roush allows 16 (ish). Some tuners say 20 is too much and unsafe. I think this was unknown until tuning got unlocked and people saw it. That's my opinion on the whole situation. It's purely speculation. The whipple/roush tunes are very different as one only has a single throttle body
Are you a calibration engineer? The whipple/roush tunes are very different as one only has a single throttle body
Hello , I was just going to message you to see how your trip to the Dragons tail with your son went. As for my FP kit I texted them they said I'm on the list and should take 4 to 7 weeks same response I got last time. Have you received yours? I have been hearing about these screen recalls but I have not been contacted yet. It is so sad the time has come that we have to put our babies to sleep for the winter.Hey @Paul's stable any word from your dealership on your FP kit? I'm about to call mine next week and ask them if a reivision is coming or not. I've got a service I'll do before she goes away for the winter so might as well get the black screen warranty, oil change and a new calibration while it's in the shop.
