Has anyone had any connection quality issues when making calls using Bluetooth in their car? I've had several people recently complain that my phone connection goes in and out and gets very scratchy when I'm talking to them in the car. I hear them just fine, and do not have issues outside of the car. Everyone swears it's my car.

I'm specifically talking about making calls, not music or android Bluetooth connections.

I don't like to answer the phone in the car, so have only used a few times... and no issues on my end, and nothing said from the other party (yet)... on android.

Apple iPhone 14 Pro here…..I get the same responses. Also I get you sound like you are in a barrel, far away. I didn’t get this early on in owning the car…..seems it may be update related. I am ordering a new iPhone (unrelated) tomorrow morning.

Fancy speakerphone using bluetooth, is it just as bad if you use a cable?

This guy always comes with drunk questions as an answer to something else.
Guess you’ve never heard of power requirements? Ever notice how an app can consume more power than another?

Mine is the same using a cable.

@AZ_Ryan I forgot to mention, I am running the iOS26 beta. Have been since the first release.

It is a Ford issue. I have several ford vehicles from 2013 F150, 2019 Expedition, 24 Mustang and sometimes Bluetooth connections on calls sucks. Biggest complaint I hear is other party hears themselves (echo). Sometimes rebooting the phone helps. My 24 mustang I use wireless CarPlay and have not had issues but it uses both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Wireless actually works better than wired CarPlay on mustang.

Thanks. I had read some reports of occasional bluetooth (in general) issues when the phone was below 80% charged so was curious. Since your reply indicates corded that would seem to indicate not a power problem.

I've experienced hearing an each of myself while on Bluetooth and it seems to be specific to one person I call so it may be unrelated to the car. I also had a situation where the phone wouldn't connect calls to the car. I had to pull over, stop the car, open and close the door to fully disconnect and restart everything for it to properly connect. I am using an android phone (Samsung). This has just started. I was pretty pleased with how it worked up to the last month or so. People can usually hear me fine and vice versa.

Is the phone not being basically used as speakerphone? Have you ever used a wireless speaker? Bluetooth is a method to connect to an external device wirelessly. Connectivity / usability problems can occur when power requirements are greater than what is available. Is that any clearer?
