It's not the old 'bad' one, it's the same as the Edelbrock/VMP.
correct. Dumbasses still bad mouth it and say “ you should’ve bought a Whipple.” They are both quality blowers that can get the job done.

I just got off the phone with LFP. I’m going to install a Roush TVS 2650 system instead of the Whipple since it is not impacted by this issue.
Buying directly from Whipple also wouldn't be affected by the issue and is a few hundred cheaper than the Ford Performance version.

Ford Performance says the Whipple Tune should be ready to go by mid October. I’m not waiting.

I had the Maggie 2650 on my C7Z06. It can make the power I need plus I honestly think the red Roush lid and the dual intakes looks better than the Whipple. I know looks don’t mean anything but to me I get the same power levels, a warranty and I don’t have to wait

My understanding is the Roush Ford warrantied is the stage 1 that has 740hp that was the reason I went with the 810hp advertised Ford performance supercharger/whipple # 6066-M8800 but now stuck till mid Oct ...NICE JOB FORD !!!!

I’m being told by LFP that the phase 2 has a warranty. Not all of them do but due to their volume they were able to acquire 100 kits and apparently I just grabbed the last one they have on the shelf.

It's just a limited parts warranty does not include powertrain.

personally i would just go get my car and bring it elsewhere to get the Whipple installed.

they played too many games
first they say yeah its installed just waiting on a tune
then you find out they never even started.
so they knew the whole time and never started work on it and were going to have you wait a month.

you can get a Whipple stage 1 right now and do the update later

The issue is that the entire car and all the parts are wrapped up in 1 loan. It’s a $90k Mustang when it’s all said and done. They basically won’t let the car leave the lot until the parts are installed.

just take the Whipple install out and get the loan for less
or just pay the 15k back on the loan with the money you saved instantly by not getting it done there and do it else where

Thankfully my Roush issue was only a software update. Picked it up tonight. Hopefully you guys can get your Whipples out of jail sooner than later.

trade the car in, as is to Lebanon, get a new unmolested car, do the supercharger on the new car later.

You are paying the note on the car and eating the depreciation while it sits

What is Ford doing about that?

It is not the dealers fault, and they can only adjust the price or give you so many concessions out of their pocket until they are also on the wrong end of the stick.

Has the title paperwork been filed yet? Is it registered and insured?

Oh ya get the cost of the insurance back from ford in addition to other concessions

The dealer originally promised the car by 9/9/25. They are now saying I’ll have the car by 9/12/25. 3 days later than promised isn’t a huge deal in this business, especially under the current circumstances that are outside the control of the dealership. If we get into October then it will be a different situation but as of now I do not foresee that happening.
