All these sales threads crack me up. I didn't know we had so many CFOs and economists on the 7g. 🤣

Honestly with all the tariff BS, I take a small uptick in sales as a good thing. But any excuse to shit on the car goes in this forum goes I guess.

Increase in sales were people waiting for tuning.
Well, I always thought that was a deeply flawed theory. The average Mustang buyer doesn't care about tuning. But if it were going to make a difference in sales, you need to give it more than a month. Lol

All I care about is I like my Mustang, it works well, I manage my money well and price isn't it. Consumer debt is it. If that weren't the case, people wouldn't be griping, whining, and crying about the price on this forum. ALL cars are expensive right now and they aren't going to get less costly.

People that complain that they can't have what they want because of price don't have the money to buy the toys they want. Same as children that are told "no, you can't have that" by their Mom. LOL!
Yes, the car I was going to buy is now $NZ110,000. The Mustang is a total bargain at $93K

Sure, as long as you were a cop or over 65. 🙄
That's a weird thing, cops buy the same as their patrol cars for personal vehicles. I never did it.
But my wife's Skoda looks like a plain patrol car front on.

not a huge difference but enough to get a little increase for a few months.

I think there's a good amount of people who were waiting for tuning to get an S650, they might still have to sell their S550.

Also there's things like shops and aftermarket companies that are going to buy one for testing, development, and project cars

I think the rush to get one now that they have been out for almost 2 years is gone in a

Actually the tariffs and trade agreements could make the mustang substantially cheaper in Europe. Ford had to pay something like 10% of additional import taxes but with the lingering new agreement these could be reduced to zero (if the deal is still standing - heard that the law isn't happy with the way Trump handled tariffs...).
I doubt that Ford will lower the price in the EU by 10% but we'll see.

Which is really weird. I get it, they're familiar with it. But I feel like if my personal car was the same as my work vehicle, I would just be reminded of work all the time while driving it, and who wants that?

Go do a ride along in a police explorer then test drive an explorer ST. they’re somewhat comparable, but in no way a similar place to sit. They buy “the same” car for personal use because they like the cars and they’re familiar. But interceptors had so much shit in them compared to a regular crown Vic that they are unrecognizable other than basic controls and driving characteristics.

I kinda get it though, a lot of soldiers used to buy the same sidearms they were issued with in the military as an example (almost guilty of that with the sigs but dodged that bullet 😬)

Just creatures of habit I guess.

Exactly. And then there’s others that are part of the Ford Defense Force. Ford does no wrong, deserves every excuse in the book.

I did a ride along with my local po po when they were making the switch to Explorer's from Crown Vics and they hated the Explorers with a passion because they have less room and the seats were narrower. The cop I rode with said they were going to hang on to their Vic's as long as they would roll and they did.
