Anyone else have any issues with road smells entering the cabin?

Not road smells but I made the mistake of using white vinegar to remove some water spots on exterior glass and even though I did not use a lot, the car smelled inside for about 3 weeks before it finally dissipated. Lessons learned !

Just an update on this. Finally bit the bullet and went to the dealership and had them dig into the dash. Luckily they didn't have to tear too much to find the issue. The heater core was what was causing my issues with the HVAC system whistling like a tea kettle with the heat on at higher speeds. They found it was kind of loose against the sealing material in the heater box and when you wiggled it it would go away. I had also noticed that the pitch of the squeal would change ever so slightly as you drive faster.

Needless to say they put some extra thick foam around the sealing surface of the heater core to hold it tight so it cannot wiggle anymore. Noise is gone on all fan speeds and temp settings AND I seem to have reduced interior smells now! Can't smell diesel exhaust when guys roll coal on me! I guess that little bit of play between the heater core and the factory sealing foam was enough to let exterior air in causing a squeal and letting unfiltered outside air slip into the cab!

Not where I live, but I was coming home Sunday from a car show and had to go back roads because of construction on I-78. I cut through a small town named Farmersville, and they have a sewage processing plant on the outskirts. I was just motoring through, but it can make your eyes tear. . Glenn

I have this exact same problem, thanks for the followup, I'll bug my dealer about it now.

Need to get the anti-ting ring lubricated, and the overhead sunglass holder vibrates like a mofo.
