We had exploding cars in Afghanistan. I doubt many of them were due to thermal runaway or spontaneous ignition of cabin fumes.

Must have been something about the beansWe had exploding cars in Afghanistan. I doubt many of them were due to thermal runaway or spontaneous ignition of cabin fumes.![]()
While I agree that the demand for used EVs is low and that is reflected in depreciation, the batteries last a lot longer than 6 years. One study shows that EVs will retain 80-90% capacity at 100,000 miles and beyond. Additionally, all EV manufacturers currently offer a minimum of an 8 year/100,000 mile warranty on the battery, and Tesla will replace the entire battery under warranty if it drops below 70% capacity during that time. One thing I do LOVE about EVs - it's what I call musical cars.....watching who gets caught holding the EV as it approaches three years of age - the mid-point of most EV's battery life. After three years no one in their right mind will buy a used one. Now that IS fun to watch. Well, that and watching an owner of an EV try to get a tow if their EV needs one. Tow truck operators treat them like Ebola. Parking garages are banning them on the second floors and up and many Ferries will not transport them. So much fun to watch.![]()
`Well, you've concluded the electric vehicle is better than the gas fueled GT and out-performs it so why not just get rid of the GT and buy another Mach E GT? You can easliy pay for the depreciation with the Mach E GT savings then proceed with the savings of both vehicles?I've put more than 44,000 miles on my 2022 Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition since new. And now I have a 2025 Mustang GT Premium.
Attached are a couple of photos of the two GTs. They are similarly equipped, with a slight edge to the Mach-E GT, which has magneride suspension, BlueCruise, and a B&O sound system. My GT Premium has the 400A equipment package without adaptive cruise control.
The 2022 Mach-E GTPE is painted in Iced Blue Silver Metallic (discontinued after 2022), and the 2025 GT is coated in Vapor Blue Metallic.
Guess which GT is faster--wins every race--and far more efficient as well? The license plate should be a clue! Interestingly, they have almost identical horsepower (480 v. 486 hp), but the Mach-E GTPE has far more torque, as you might expect from two big electric motors (634 v. 418 lb-ft).
I love the sound of my 2025 GT, especially with the Active Valve Exhaust, but there's no way it beats the Mach-E GTPE for either performance or efficiency. Driving the Mach-E GTPE feels like the future; by contrast, the 2025 GT feels like I'm driving a dinosaur--one of the last of its kind... YMMV!

Hahaha! Good idea, except that I love driving the ICE Mustang GT and hearing the roar of the engine. That said, there’s no doubt in my mind that EVs are the future.`Well, you've concluded the electric vehicle is better than the gas fueled GT and out-performs it so why not just get rid of the GT and buy another Mach E GT? Not to derail this thread, but I’ve never seen a red GT with the 20” Premium wheels. Damn that looks sharp! Any other pics of it?
Total rubbish - your knowledge of EV battery life is woeful. The other comments are just plain silly. One thing I do LOVE about EVs - it's what I call musical cars.....watching who gets caught holding the EV as it approaches three years of age - the mid-point of most EV's battery life. Can you provide those 'stats' please?Stats show exit time survival in a bad crash in order to exit is seconds vs gas/diesel about 2 minutes. They also show many 10s of thousands of gallons of water doesn't put them out completely. Peace out.

Let’s not let “knowledge” and “stats” get in the way of OP’s thread. Just the fact the folks on here cannot believe a regular Mustang owner could own an EV and vice versa just shows the division on the entire issue. Can you provide those 'stats' please?
Yours is a great color. I see you have the same wheels. I really like the wheels.Wow…I wanted that color but they discontinued it for ‘25.

Those 20" silver wheels really pop with the red. Gorgeous! Thanks! I had no intention of getting silver. Wasn’t even on my radar. But there it was with 4 miles on it hot off the trailer. I couldn’t stop staring at it.Yours is a great color. I see you have the same wheels. I really like the wheels.
I have the silver 20-inch wheels on my 2025 GT as well. Very classy! Not to derail this thread anymore, but 4 pages of shitting on the Mach E…I think the point has been made on the poor OP…..lol. All he wanted to do was share his 2 cars.![]()
