Its as unstable as any other RWD car. Step on it, and it will spin the wheels. If you don't control it correctly, you'll end up in a wall, simple as.I have a serious question for you Mustang owners. How careful do I truly need to be? I mean, besides not flooring it when you pull out and turn or are around corners, etc....is this thing going to be unstable?
I want to find and take a driving course, but I read SO MUCH about people planting their Stangs into walls....Makes me a bit nervous. I've had rear wheel drive before in a Charger and earlier a Chrysler Crossfire.
If you're trying to keep the wheels spinning through the gears, then you're more likely to put it in a wall. Auto's are more susceptible to this, since they can shift while the wheels are still spinning, causing the rears to gain traction and then plant you into a wall. Thats where most mustang crash videos come from.
Mustangs have come a long way, the IRS is actually pretty decent in these. Just don't be dumb and get yourself into situations you will regret.
