As expected, Ford service said there was no point in looking for a problem that fixed itself. They did confirm that SYNC system reset is a reasonable thing to try if something happens again.

Lol…well, at least the dealer has a record of it, so if it starts being a real problem, he has logged a history of it.

My guess is over time, it might happen once or twice more, then will start behaving. Electronics seem to do that sometimes.

Radio display updates(baseball game scores/satellite channel) , but audio sound cuts out intermittently. Returns when I tap station up button. This happens whenever I push the clutch pedal and is accompanied by a "beep". Car is 1 year old and got a software update Saturday before last(8/30) for engine light (PCM). This crap started the next day. Dealer can't find any codes in the radio and the soft resets have done nothing. Currently have battery cover off and will try disconnecting negative battery cable.
