all i will say is SR-303 is empty at twilight, especially one straight and flat (apart from an overpass) stretch of ~1.65 miles. it was stable but frightening, and im never doing it again because it was stupid dangerous tooLOL
Spit it out. What happened?
Well... there’s the Texas Mile.Really name one place it’s safe to go 165
Any back road.Really name one place it’s safe to go 165
No stock Dark Horse is hitting the speed limiter in a standing mile.Well... there’s the Texas Mile.
Let alone hitting the rear end of my S550. I’m just sayin’.No stock Dark Horse is hitting the speed limiter in a standing mile.
Just to tug on your funny bone a bit!You are just sayin' . . . but why?
I'll find out fairly soon. I have a friend I need to have lunch with that has a '13 Shelby and if anyone would know, he would. I doubt it will hit 200 or he would have told me. Yes, he is crazy.Just to tug on your funny bone a bit!
Wasn’t it the 2013/14 Shelby’s that could hit 200mph? I wouldn’t take one of those on the track either. I bet you that 90+% of us 350 owners will never, ever see a track or top speed; or a Lambo, or a Ferrari, etc.
Just as S650 or S550 owners need not rag on each other, all of us need to keep it light and just have fun with each other and our rides.
We need to all pray the the other 49 states(besides here in Ca.) don’t try to adopt an EV mandate. I cannot think of a worse nightmare than having a nanny-connected EV with fake engine noises. Are we in agreement here?
It depends on what you mean by safe. We have 2 lane country roads not far from me where they close them and have speed record runs. People have gone well over 300kmh and I can recall only one crash which I think was caused by mechanical failure.Really name one place it’s safe to go 165
Not sure about the IoM. There's always deaths at the TT races. It's a tricky road.Well... there’s the Texas Mile.
you could make a case for TX 130 (toll road, 85mph signed limit), several roads in Montana, the Mountain course on the Isle of Man - no speed limit, the autobahn in Germany
I am sure, I rode it on Mad Sunday. There’s no speed limit on the mountain section and the trip down the mountain course towards the Craig they’re easily and well over 180 at the TT.Not sure about the IoM. There's always deaths at the TT races. It's a tricky road.
Sorry, I meant the safety thing not the speed limit.I am sure, I rode it on Mad Sunday. There’s no speed limit on the mountain section and the trip down the mountain course towards the Craig they’re easily and well over 180 at the TT.
Sulby straight might give the MDH a chance, that would be a flying mile or so _at speed_ but you’re not doing that unless the course is closed.
You don't have to ask stupid AI
just look at the videos of people dynoing stock dark horses, you'll get your answer
