You can simplify this even further. Take a gas tax for instance. Once in place, though promised to be only 5 cents per gallon, can easily climb to 50 cents like it is here in California. Open the door and Big Brother loves to step in.
I’m just sayin’.
No offense taken or implied. Just ask yourself which of those cars will break down the least, and which one costs less to repair, maintain, insure and register. Which one will make you smile the most when you hit the gas and the twisties??
Ha! We’ll, Mama always said not to argue with an intoxicated woman, so I will refrain..
I really appreciate the engineering of the Corvettes and the looks/performance of the Porsches. Though I am able to own any, I choose the GT350. It speaks to me. My point in all of this is that your car...
Sir, that is an all-consuming statement saying the Bimmer is a better quality and a better buy.
Something is only better quality if it doesn’t break down as often or needs less maintenance. Having had several M3’s, I cannot vouch for them costing less in the short or long term. Couple that with...
Actually, I’m headed to Colorado later this week to drop my son off for his freshman year at the university. I’m renting one of the 7G mustangs just for fun. It will be interesting to compare the two, though EcoBoost to Shelby is a bit of a stretch..
My wife’s Mercedes came with the all season PS4. I changed them out for the PS4S and noticed a big handling difference. But I can get away with that living with So. Cal. weather. Actually, we don’t have weather; just minor temperature changes.
Wow, a few years go by and everyone forgets history. The GT350s were 100% Ford Performance. Ford Racing (FP) even created the Niche-line at the Romeo Michigan plant just to build the Voodoo engines. Some might say that this is a bit more than just “Badging”.
SVT and Ford Racing merged to become...
Just to tug on your funny bone a bit!
Wasn’t it the 2013/14 Shelby’s that could hit 200mph? I wouldn’t take one of those on the track either. I bet you that 90+% of us 350 owners will never, ever see a track or top speed; or a Lambo, or a Ferrari, etc.
Just as S650 or S550 owners need not rag on...
We are all learning more and more about this stuff every day.
The “overfilling” does not apply to just Coyote engines. Nearly all crankshafts rotate way below the line of the oil pan.
Oil in your car is a lot like fertilizer on your lawn. A little is okay; the right amount is better, and too...
Nothing to worry about here.
When oil changes are performed, most techs spill a bit when taking off the filter. Looks like it just didn’t get wiped up very well. Does not look like a current leak. Using that amount of oil more than 4k miles after a change is outstanding. Make sure you use full...
Most all new cars at a dealership are financed from the manufacturer, on what is called a “Floor plan”. They still want to unload the cars because they cost the dealership a percentage every month.
A little background is in order here.
Think of the dipstick as a “go or no-go” gauge. If it reads at the bottom line, you add some oil. If it reads at the top, stop! If you overfill an engine with oil it can reach the point of touching the crankshaft. This turns the oil frothy(air filled). At...
There is no hate here Sir. Just commenting on the race, as imperfect as it was. If I wasn’t so damn old I might be able to get into the new dash.
Just an analog guy in a digital world sadly. Anything new with a warranty is a good thing. There is little else to compare with a Mustang. Luckily we...
