They're all over facebookWe need a few tuners to post some real results here.
Is 15hp worth $900?
I guess. If you ignore all the HP unlocked past 6500rpm where the stock tune falls flat on its face. That steeda vid they just posted should frame it all up…
Ported heads, ported intake, longtube headers, steeda CAI on full E85 …. Gained 25/20ish over stock tune.
YMMV as they say.
Where do you imagine that happening?I guess. If you ignore all the HP unlocked past 6500rpm where the stock tune falls flat on its face.
Nailed it.Is a tune on a stock car worth $900....not really but you gotta pay to play and start somewhere. Horsepower is expensive. People out there are buying way more dumb things for their cars for hundreds of dollars. The car stock leaves a lot to be desired so I don't mind spending the money.
That’s great to hear. When you change the torque management of the 10R80, does this influence it on all drive modes? Is there still a differentiation in between the modes, like normal is smooth shifting and in sport/track aggressive fast shifting? On a stone stock manual car with 93 only I would say no. The value is for the 10R80 guys who are gimped by tq management and short shifting. Moving the shift points out to 7500-7800rpm is the sweet spot once you strip out the majority of the tq management. Getting the 10R80 to shift nicer too on normal driving is a HUGE++++++. Mine is now the cadillac of mustangs in terms of shifting and driving. That alone was worth it. Plus the monster tq gain on E85 and those sweet 7800rpm shifts. It shifts like a swiss watch now.
On my 03 GT Auto, I had canned tunes, SCT/Bama, from way, way back when they actually were decent. I didn't track the car so I can't say if it was any faster but it sure was a hell of a lot more fun to drive thanks' to the automatic shift points, etc modifications. Installing a J-Mod made it even better. Just my experience. On a stone stock manual car with 93 only I would say no. The value is for the 10R80 guys who are gimped by tq management and short shifting. Yup I think it's worth it especially if they can modify the shifting points and top speed.Hey guys. I have a manual PP. wondering if getting a shoemaker or Lund tune would be worth it considering I just have a h pipe right now. Plan is to add headers at some point, just want to know if anyone is stock and tuned and if they felt a difference!
Cheers!
