Hey guys. I have a manual PP. wondering if getting a shoemaker or Lund tune would be worth it considering I just have a h pipe right now. Plan is to add headers at some point, just want to know if anyone is stock and tuned and if they felt a difference!
Cheers!

Im waiting on a tune, supposed to be shipped out next week. I think its worth it. It will make the car a little quicker and just more fun to drive. They are pretty boring after a while with the stock tune.

Sounds good please keep me posted on how you like it. Who did you choose to tune?

Palm beach dyno is doing the tuning. I'll be posting my review when I get it all squared away.

Waiting on my 93 / e85 tune with p1 tuning to get here tomorrow. Big issue with the gt's is the throttle response is newtered. The throttlebodies only open 97 ish % as well as other things. They had to make the dh look bettehr performance wise in a hp to hp comparison.

The only difference if you’re just running 93oct is gonna be the throttle input and the trans shift scheduling

The manual negates even those gains, not worth it without going E85 tune minimum (which I’ve yet to see comped with stock tune E30 blend), i suspect even those gains are marginal.

while i concur, mods were applied, however, if the tune didn’t do anything they wouldn’t have noticed anything. Not saying it’s all tune but rather each bit plays a part in the byte, cumulatively impacting the whole. So yes, even if minor it should be noticeable even with a manual.

It always blows my mind when people say a tune won't do much for a stock NA car. I've had a few cars tuned in my life and I've always felt a difference. 15-20whp on a stock car is noticeable....its just a starting point until you add more mods.

Honestly I would wait until you have all the parts you want and then tune it. Would a tune make a stock car drive a lil better? Sure not that the stock tune is bad as its pretty damn good for an oem tune. Tuning gets pricey and you’re just gonna have to do it again once you add more parts. I would just do it all at once.

Gotcha. Headers seems like the only thing to really add as intakes don’t seem to make a big difference.
