We need a few tuners to post some real results here.

Is 15hp worth $900?
That steeda vid they just posted should frame it all up…

Ported heads, ported intake, longtube headers, steeda CAI on full E85 …. Gained 25/20ish over stock tune.

YMMV as they say.
I guess. If you ignore all the HP unlocked past 6500rpm where the stock tune falls flat on its face.

Where do you imagine that happening?

(I'm guessing that if they shut the runs down at 6500 they were doing them in 7th gear and hitting the factory speed limiter)

Is a tune on a stock car worth $900....not really but you gotta pay to play and start somewhere. Horsepower is expensive. People out there are buying way more dumb things for their cars for hundreds of dollars. The car stock leaves a lot to be desired so I don't mind spending the money.

Im not sure if it’s the tune or the bolt ons that aren’t worth it. $900 ish for ~20hp, increased redline, better A10 settings, e85, and all the other fun stuff like ghost cam you may want seems like a bargain. It’s the modified heads, ported intake manifold, long tube headers, and intakes that seem expensive for the average person.

Hopefully everyone keeps posting all of these test videos. I love to see the data.

On a stone stock manual car with 93 only I would say no. The value is for the 10R80 guys who are gimped by tq management and short shifting. Moving the shift points out to 7500-7800rpm is the sweet spot once you strip out the majority of the tq management. Getting the 10R80 to shift nicer too on normal driving is a HUGE++++++. Mine is now the cadillac of mustangs in terms of shifting and driving. That alone was worth it. Plus the monster tq gain on E85 and those sweet 7800rpm shifts. It shifts like a swiss watch now.

That’s great to hear. When you change the torque management of the 10R80, does this influence it on all drive modes? Is there still a differentiation in between the modes, like normal is smooth shifting and in sport/track aggressive fast shifting?

On my 03 GT Auto, I had canned tunes, SCT/Bama, from way, way back when they actually were decent. I didn't track the car so I can't say if it was any faster but it sure was a hell of a lot more fun to drive thanks' to the automatic shift points, etc modifications. Installing a J-Mod made it even better. Just my experience.

Hey guys. I have a manual PP. wondering if getting a shoemaker or Lund tune would be worth it considering I just have a h pipe right now. Plan is to add headers at some point, just want to know if anyone is stock and tuned and if they felt a difference!
Cheers!
Yup I think it's worth it especially if they can modify the shifting points and top speed.

Not too inclined to go for a tune at this point.

I appreciate everyone's dyno chart posts, etc. "If" I were to shoot a tune move........................my inclination would be to let Livernois Motorsports (whom I've previously used with excellent results on my RS) install a set of catted long tubes; then perform a 93 O dyno tune. I think their service still includes their tuner/data monitor with your stock PCM parameters as well as your dyno tune.

Got other things to spend money on right now though.

Look at Wengerd. Best tuner around these days.
Honest results show very little gain on 93.
I want to see Manual Dark Horse gains on 93 or E85.
