No. You have to serve your time. No shortcuts to grumpy old fart status.I act 12. Does that count?
Dynamat?i think i figured out why the wireless charging pad gets so hot and heats up the phone. the entire center console is on top of the transmission tunnel with nearly no space between, including the wireless charger. i decided to try the charger on an Explorer, Expedition, F-150, Super Duty, Maverick, Mach-E, Bronco, and Bronco Sport for a bit, and none of them got my phone hot.
i bet if someone put some heat deflecting material on the underside of the transmission tunnel the wireless charger would work so much better. the WACM also has a fan on it, but the fan pulls air instead of blowing air. there's really no destination for it, so the air just gets blown onto the metal for the transmission tunnel as well.
you can feel just how hot it gets by going for a drive, then pulling one of those magnetic knee panels off the side of the console and feeling the metal the magnet sticks to. this is all just a guess, though. i have no idea if this is the true reason, but it makes sense to me

Yeah, but it's so difficult to plug in a cord...Probably because it just makes phones really hot.
Wireless charging in modern cars is a scam, change my mind
i checked again on my drive home today. ~40 min and 25 mile drive. the wireless charger, while empty and the A/C was on auto for 77 degrees, got very, very warm to the touch. i also found out that the Bronco seems to have had it's wireless charging deleted, and at least the Ranger has 15W fast wireless charging, which i also tested and my phone never overheated. i am very confident when i say this was a design mistake on the Mustang. i will be doing some further investigating this weekend on itDoubtful.
We have the wireless charger in our Expedition. It works great on my pixel but it makes my wife's Samsung EXTREMELY hot.It doesn't work worth aanyways.. So you are not missing out on anything.
I try to NOT to put my phone there , as it gets super hot and barely charges. This is with a Galaxy S25 Ultra , and a ultra thin case on it. I am shocked it got through R&D in MY24.
What exactly are you referring to?Read the owner's manual on wireless charging and it's easy to see why they dropped it.
You can turn it off in forscanMy 24 just cooks my phone. Wish it was deleted. I like the location. But, can't use it. It gets hot enough features on the phone start to turn off.
