Context: Didnt order active exhaust, not worth the money imo if doing aftermarket exhaust anyways

BUT, i still want to add quad tips eventually. SO, is there room cut out big enough for quad tips right now or would more of the panel have to be cut out to make room for the quad tips? If so, is that something your average shop can easily do right or is it a pain?

Not a job for the average shop, you’re gonna want to find one that specializes in this type of setup.
A performance or mustang race shop near you would be more suited.

I’m sure in time there will be a kit for it, until something like that is available you are gonna be talking custom fab work/rates.

Stock exhaust here too. I just ordered an axle back muffler delete with 4 inch single tips. With the stock valance I measured 5.2 inches for the exhaust tip or 5 inches max. I couldnt find anything with duals that would fit. Carving it out will probably look awful imo. I am hoping the large 4 inch single satisfies me. Stock exhaust is 2.5 inch diameter fyi.

to add quad tips without buying active exhaust (big mistake IMO), you need to either cut the diffuser to make room, or buy the quad tip diffuser (part number PR3Z-17F828-CA without parking sensors, part number PR3Z-17F828-DA with parking sensors) and install it

I know there’s pros and cons and why people don’t order the active exhaust.
But, with active exhaust, you have four different settings for how loud you prefer.
You do the settings on your Dash Screen.
I don’t know if you can do that when you add active exhaust?
If you have it fabricated, are you really saving any money?
I understand about the money.

Getting the AES was a little over 1200.00$ compare to how much it's going to cost you doing all these changes. I am wondering if it's worth the hassle and how much will you save?

I trimmed my single exhaust diffuser using a template that i found here in the site, and it clears my NXT quad tip axleback exhaust perfectly. We used the same template on a coworkers car, he installed the MBRP straight pipe axle back and it fit as well. But god, that straight pipe sounds awful! But he is 22, and thinks its great. I guess if its too loud, i AM too old!

25 year old here; no, you're definitely right. any form of straight pipe sounds atrocious. it removes all tone and actual appeal to the sound in exchange for just being deafeningly loud. hopefully after some time and exposure to the drone he is going to experience, he will consider going for an actually good exhaust system

Its really not so much the sheer volume in decibels, its the shitty sound quality. I've had some loud ass exhausts, but they had great tone. Oh, and he put an X pipe on it too!
