Installing the Steeda Nurburg Package on my Dark Horse so I have my suspension apart right now. If you're curious how the stock handling pack strut mounts are adjustable, here's a picture to demonstrate. The strut assembly has to be removed from the car to remove the 3 allen bolts.

Does the strut assembly have to be removed in order to make camber adjustments?

Only the first time to remove the flush mount allen bolts to give access to the adjustability.

I'm such an absolute beginner at this car stuff.(Love the cars, and definitely Love the mechanics! 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️😅) That being said, What does adjusting the camber do? If I'm not mistaken that would cause the tires to oean one way or the other correct? I noticed my Dark Horse HP, which I bought lightly used, appears to have only used the outside part of the Trofeos that are on it but the inside 3" of the tire appears brand new.. could the previous owner have done this on purpose?!

Any Help Appreciated!
Scott.

Thank you VERY much!
Now I just need to figure out if this is what is happening with my DH/HP or is it just down to the Trofeos being terrible road tires?
Will post my results!

Take care!
Most cars that get set up for track use have between 2-3* neg camber on front, which will cause the tires to lean in at the top. In road racing, going thru curves at 100+ mph, this neg camber allows better contact patch. Normal camber for street cars should be 0*. As for the rears, camber can be adjusted but takes special equipment.
From your description, sounds like you may have positive camber, causing the outside of your tires to wear. As Cast Camber gauge will tell you where you are at.

What @RLE55 said!

I was going to have the dealership do an alignment on the car, which wasn't part of their PDI, however since I have 20" Velgens on the way, and possibly a Steeda lowering kit, an alignment at an independent shop is in the future cards anyways.
