On the toggle switches. What is the * (star) button supposed to do? All it tells me is "the exhaust is on" Well that's great to know.

I don't have my car yet, but from all the videos I've seen it's supposed to be a programable favorite setting button. I.E. exhaust mode, drive mode, maybe radio channel, AC temp, launch control, traction off??? I'm not positive on all it can do, but exhaust mode is one of the most popular uses. I guess dealers don't do walk-throughs anymore 😁

mine is set to Track exhaust mode, gotta have active exhaust, comes in a lot of handy when i get off work (3rd shift). I have the car set to Quiet exhaust on startup 24hrs a day so when i start it, all i have to do is press the start button and i have track exhaust on 2 seconds after i start the car, once i hit my sub division, i press the star button again and it toggles the track exhaust back off to the default quiet setting instantly, super convenient.

I've got mine set to change the screen to quiet mode (all dark, clock, IIRC).

I have mine set to quickly switch the exhaust to quiet mode, when a cop is around. Used it once already when a cruiser pulled up next to me at a Red light
Same! Except mine is set to Normal since I'm often driving in Sport.

I have that button turn on the brake hold feature. It's basically a "favorite" shortcut. To me, what I have makes the most sense. I frequently use that when I'm stuck in traffic on a hill, so I don't keep holding the brake pedal.

Why would you need to turn it on? I turned that on and just left it on in my truck. Doesn't it work the same in the Mustang?
