I'm 40 and married with a clean driving record.

The insurance on my 24 Mustang GT is the same as it is on my 22 Expedition, 22 F250, and 06 GTO, combined.

My 17 year old son doesn't pay that much for insurance and he also drives a muscle car.

That's insane.

Me too.
Both home and cars.
My 2024 Mustang was only $40 / year more than my 2003 GT vert. I'm looking at dumping them though and switching to USAA. I'm in NYS, no accidents etc. I'm 64yo.
Ha...I used to be young once and paid outrageous insurance costs.

I'm sorry but there is no chance real insurance can be bought for those prices in America. What do you have for coverage for$360 a year, like $100 limit for liability and collision? And $280/year for a Dark Horse, what limits and what company? I need to call them. In MD I pay almost 4k a year for my Scat Pack and my wife's Escape, and I'm over 70 years old with a clean record.

Sounds like I need to shop around for auto insurance and see how moving our auto insurance away from Travelers affects our homeowners/umbrella policy.

I pay some guy on the corner of Woodward Ave. and State St. $8 on the first Tuesday of every month. He says he'll cover me if sumthin' goes south.

I pay $225/mo for my GT in Michigan. When I quoted a Dark Horse it was $355/mo.

I got quoted for a Charger Scat Pack widebody as well and that was $409/mo due to the crazy theft rates.

Erie Insurance with 18+ years of history (I'm 35 years old), multi-car (3) + home bundle discounts, clean record, married, Indiana. It did actually just go up to $360/year for the Dark Horse as we dropped a 2016 Fiesta and added a 2021 Bronco Sport. You can see where our plan increased by $242 in the screenshot. $80 of which was for the Dark Horse.

I also have a policy discount for reduced usage as it has a winter "layover". However, with my current setup I can still drive it on nicer winter season days (45+F and sunny) without having to add and drop it from my policy every time.

Like I said,
The General and Shaq wanted almost $800.00 for a 6 month policy. Just for the Dark Horse.
I bundled instead with my house and one other car.
For a 6 month FC policy I pay $181.00 for both cars. That's right at $90.50 per 6mths. Cars are both garage kept and neither a daily driver. Clean driving record. My Point is shop around. Good luck.
FC?
