So if a supercharger fails, that will also lead to the engine of the vehicle failing as well because of how the SC mounts/embeds into the engine, but with a procharger installation it's basically a heavy duty bolt on type of mod?
Good luck to those who will own these long term. I mean people in those tax brackets who could afford to drop a deposit to order from wouldn't be sweating regardless, but at the end of the day, these things do add up.
The torque factor, of course! I was completely unaware of the fact that mt 82 is rated for a higher torque capacity than the tr 3160. The Camaros and Challengers out torque the Mustangs hence why Ford cut costs by choosing the lighter Tremec since the other two have the 6060s. Thank You for the...
But is there a scientifically/engineering reason on why the mt-82 can handle boost better than the tr 3160? I understand the points you referenced, but there has to be a mechanical reason on why that is for a transmission bogged down by a crappy clutch/flywheel.
how would the MT-82 be able to hold more power than the tr-3160 if the mt-82 has been prone to lockout, occasional grind, and all sorts of problems from it not being mounted to the body? Shouldn't the Tremec on paper be more durable against additional power?
