Oh for sure. Just like the opposite... if we went on a track with turns your GT350R would absolutely embarrass my Hellcat like no tomorrow. The Hellcat doesn't handle as bad as people think it does, but it still is not going to come anywhere near the alpha tier track variants like a GT350...
I do agree Hellcats struggle from digs. If it's warm enough though they hook fine from 40mph or more if they have decent tires. And that's neat you can keep up to 70, but what happens after 70 mph? 70 mph is barely moving the needle for a Hellcat lol.
Past 70 I bet the Hellcat blows the...
I'm the opposite. Had a '24 GT and traded it in for a Hellcat. The Hellcat is more fun and way faster than the GT (and the DH). When I got the GT though I was very close to getting a DH, and probably wouldn't have traded for the Hellcat if I had the DH. The GT just wasn't very special and...
Yep. Worst offenders. I laugh them off when they come up to my Hellcat trying to flex. I have almost 300hp more than they do and my car is only about 200lb heavier. Would be a very effortless steamroll.
Those Terminator Cobras are no joke. Back when I was in my late 20s and had a Scat Pack and was more apt to do little races I had a guy come up to me in a Cobra. We took off from a 40 roll and I thought I'd pull away pretty easily. I definitely pulled ahead but he was right on my ass until I...
Definitely. 275w tires trying to move a 4,400lb RWD vehicle with 700hp is an effort in failure. Even the Redeye with 800hp and 315s struggles to put the power down.
Usually most of my experiences occurred on a freeway too. Never had anyone try me from a stop. Not that I am ever enticed to engage in street racing but the Hellcat has major issues hooking up from a stop. For instance a Dark Horse would kick my ass off a line. The Hellcat is a missile if...
Idk what it is with them but that car just has a reputation for having owners who drive like maniacs. But to your point it is funny because a GT, your Dark Horse, or anything faster makes effortless work of an Altima. Even a Civic Type R would blow the doors off an Altima.
When I had my '24 Mustang GT it was usually Chargers with the 5.7 HEMI or the 6.4 HEMI. Hellcats always left me alone probably because a GT isn't much work for a Hellcat. Riced out Honda Civics were also pretty bad offenders.
With the Hellcat I have now most cars leave me alone. It gets way...
I bought my first Mustang, a Boss 302, at 13 years old with my lemonade stand money. Then invested in stocks at 15 and bought 7 GT500s at 17 - one for each day of the week. I'll explain everything in my YouTube video, "How do I afford 7 GT500s at 17 years old!?"
...being serious though, I'm...
First glad you're okay OP. Second... you're a dumbass. You were going 110 and obviously not on a highway based on where your car is sitting. If you were doing that in a residential neighborhood you're an even bigger dumbass.
500hp may be a bit much for you lol
I feel similarly to you, OP. My GT was a very fun car. Could definitely tell the lack of torque compared to the Challenger Scat Pack I owned before it. It isn't in the same league as my Hellcat in that regard, though, so it's pointless to compare.
In track mode the car was very loud...
I figured maybe we'd see the next GT500/Cobra/whatever it will be unveiled. A GTD variant, while cool, is meh for most of us.
I agree. Ford also sucks at discounts. I had A/Z Plan and my Mustang GT cost me 10k less than my Hellcat, and even the DH I was considering when I got my GT was more...
Didn't store my '24 GT. Just didn't drive it when there was any snow on the ground because it had Summer tires on it. My Hellcat I do drive if there is a bit of snow. It does fine with the All-Seasons, as did my Scat Pack.
If there is salt and stuff on the road I take the car to a car wash...
I'll do a comparison between the two since I just traded in my GT for a Hellcat.
Speed: The Hellcat is simply way faster than a GT or Dark Horse. More comparable to a GT500.
Handling: The GT will run circles around the Hellcat, or any Challenger for that matter. No need to even mention the...
I agree OP it seems like the more options you add, you get screwed. The dealerships don't seem to really care about the options on them when you trade it in. Also like others have said car production is back to about normal so things are sitting on lots again. I also got offered like 42k on...
I just traded my '24 GT in for a Hellcat and lost my ass on the GT in terms of depreciation. A lot of cars are down in value though. My Hellcat was basically brand new with a sticker price in the mid 80s and I got it for not much more than the MSRP on the GT which is the mid 60k range.
Just a regular Challenger Hellcat. The Redeye is just slightly out of my budget. I'd prefer the Charger but they're all Redeyes and are 20k more than a regular Challenger Hellcat.
I'm also considering a lightly used Camaro ZL1.
I can find both cars for under 70k - the Challenfers have lots...
