We bring you the S650 Mustang prototype spy video! This gives us a first live look and listen at the prototype in motion and under some acceleration.

Like the exterior, the interior is camouflaged, except for the steering wheel which is just being borrowed from the current Bullitt Mustang for testing purposes.

Good listens at the sound @ 1:48 and 2:30 marks in the video.

Definitely a V8, and definitely a manual. "Bullitt" on the steering wheel is odd though. Maybe they're bringing back the Bullitt with a Tremec for 2023MY? With Mach 1 already out, not sure why they would have to do anymore testing, much less why all the camo.

The Mach 1 development cars used leftover Bullitts as testers.........so this one has likely been repurposed for S650 duty.

My suspicions are that the new 5.0 will be the Bullitt/Mach1 engine, PPL1 is likely mostly standard, and that the new 5.0 MAY get the cylinder deactivation from the F-150. Which means that using a Bullitt mule may make sense.

Those 255/40Z R19 tires sure look small on the new GT prototype. Are the fender wells larger to permit use of wider rear wheels ?
