When locking, unlocking, or using the hazards on a Job 2 Mustang, they are now sequential.

It's not due to new parts, only software, which makes me think that the coming soon OTA update to fix a few things will add this, as Job 2 Mustangs get pre-loaded with the update.

No more in-line wiring adapters to add this like on the S550, and as a result it will no longer make applying the brakes look like turning on your hazards; making driving safer.

This feature is only possible from factory on the rear lights due to federal regulations, and each individual bar of the light is big enough to be a valid turn signal. the fronts are too small. sorry @Diode Dynamics

Is this meaning when adding the inline adapter or now as is job 1’s?

Huh? Re: valid turn signal.

it may, or may not. i dont know

on the S550 there were a few aftermarket things you could plug in-line with the taillight wiring that made any activation of the brakes work sequentially. so, braking, unlocking, locking, and hazards made the bars light up in sequence. imo, this was a bit of a safety risk, as lots of people probably know about the 2015+ Mustang sequential turn signals, so they might assume something that makes things unpredictable when they see them doing their sequential thing while braking
Huh? Re: valid turn signal.
the US government requires new vehicles to have a certain amount of area light up immediately upon turn indicator activation. that's why a bunch of Audis have the half-hearted attempt at a sequential indicator, and is also why the new Tundra is able to have true sequential turn signals too (with a certain package)

No worries!

We have our own 2024 Mustang for in-house testing and product development.

S650 Mustang Job 2 Mustangs have new sequential taillight functions 20231115_133257

Interesting, doug demuro's preview car had this feature already. I guess it didn't make it into initial production then!
There was talk of the lights doing the opposite pattern (fully illuminated then turning off inner most light in sequence) to get around the US reg.

job 2 started December 4th, 2023. there was another big change around January 22nd, 2024 and that may be the day changes started, but that would also include job 2

Can't wait to see if this gets pushed with an OTA update or if it'll be something that the customer can go, and request be done on their vehicle during a scheduled maintenance.

Then again, I am glad that my vehicle didn't come with Auto Start/Stop. I personally feel that the whole gas guzzler tax is a scam, but that's for a different topic.

Someone from your company told me you had no plans to release anything for the 24+ Mustang a few weeks ago. Glad to see this, we need corner markers BADLY.

Mach E does this with their taillights already, wouldn’t be surprised if mustang got them. Personally I hope it is not changed. I like the sequential lighting on effect more than the sequential lighting off. Corvette C8 has the tiny sequential lighting off effect too but it isn’t very noticeable. Audi sequential looks nice with the mod that keeps the brake light off.

I would assume you could also do this with forscan the same way you can give the base model approach lighting like the premiums have??

You can also give the base model or the premium the same approach lighting the Darkhorse has through forscan
