my guess as to one of the reasons they didn't name the production model "Zora" is because that name is already widely associated with the race of fish people from The Legend of Zelda series, and Nintendo is infamous for being very, very aggressive with their properties. at least, that's what my first guess was. here's the real answer: Carbuzz talked to a Chevrolet spokesperson and they apparently wanted to keep it close to the ZR1 family, implying that the ZR1X does not deserve the name "Zora".
in any case, that thing is proper insanity in the best way, but the price tag is insane in the less than appealing way, starting at $178,000 before options, tax, and registration.
i took a look at the specs and the one that amazes me the most is the standard carbon ceramic brakes with 10 piston front and 6 piston rear calipers with rotors the size of the S550 GT500's. i have really only heard of calipers with that many pistons being used on the likes of the Bentley Continental GT
