Wireless Android Auto not working

Hello all. New member here. I picked up my 2025 base GT 6spd about a week ago and haven't been able to get wireless Android Auto to work. I start the process but my phone (Galaxy S24) screen shows that the car's software or settings aren't up to snuff for Android Auto to work.

Any ideas as to what is going on or what I need to do?

The phone works via Bluetooth but Android Auto has to be run off a USB cable

Well, your 2024 and my 2025 definitely are supposed to have wireless AA/Carplay. Harman Kardon (actually B&O but ok) is immaterial. If wireless AA/carplay don't work in your car, then you are in the same boat as me.

Let's wait and let someone who has an idea of what the problem is and how to solve it chime in.

I was paraphrasing but there is an error message that shows up on my phone when trying to set up wireless AA. I'll have to followup with a screen shot.

Yes that would help, when you see the error screenshot it. Can't really do anything until we know what's happening. I can suggest things ,like resetting android auto.

From memory, AA has to have initial set up done via cable, then select wireless.

No not correct. It can be setup without a cable. Waiting for Silverstone to post error screen, then with more information someone can suggest troubleshooting

OK, I may be getting our cars confused, but I was sure the dealer set mine up with a cable.
But then I am old and doddery.

It can work if it's on a USB cable it's just not necessary, the dealer might have had the cable connected for another reason then decided to setup things. Im an old fart too don't fret.

Not sure, wouldn't sync 3 have wireless? How far back are we talking?
