Lately it has been cars I wouldn’t expect and they love to do fly by racing. Here’s a little vert jaguar. He started at the light behind me and as soon as as he could get around me he got on it. I’m still not sure how he didn’t lose control. Car bottomed out and danced all around. You can see the dust 💨from the car hitting the road and hear the tires making a landing at the airport. ✈

I do agree Hellcats struggle from digs. If it's warm enough though they hook fine from 40mph or more if they have decent tires. And that's neat you can keep up to 70, but what happens after 70 mph? 70 mph is barely moving the needle for a Hellcat lol.

Past 70 I bet the Hellcat blows the doors off the GT350R considering it's way faster at the top end. GT350R top speed is 173mph, and just a non-Redeye Challenger Hellcat's top speed is 200mph. Massive difference.
Yep after 70 way different- Im losing that race lol

But my car is not set up for drag racing....I used to do the drag racing thing...definitely fun....I often miss it....having fun in the corners for now......my car is definitely more of a track car then a drag race car....

I actually took my car recently to Irwindale Speedway before they shut it down....track prep was horrible - combine that with a car that sucks at launching....yeah I wont embarrass myself with telling the times it ran lol

Oh for sure. Just like the opposite... if we went on a track with turns your GT350R would absolutely embarrass my Hellcat like no tomorrow. The Hellcat doesn't handle as bad as people think it does, but it still is not going to come anywhere near the alpha tier track variants like a GT350, ZL1, etc. Even an SS 1LE would hand me my ass on a track.

I like having the straight line speed, but there are times I think about having something with better handling and less horsepower. I have said that if my Hellcat gets stolen I'll probably get a Dark Horse. The Hellcat is fun but the power is truly unusable. Kind of like our discussion... punching a Hellcat from 70 gets you to triple digit felony speed almost immediately. Aside from a short quick burst you're not doing much else unless you want to risk getting pulled over.

On my '24 GT and my Scat Pack you could definitely have 'safer' fun and ring the power out a bit more which is something I do appreciate now that I own a Hellcat.

I worked at a Harley dealership 2004 to 2007, I rode nearly all the twin cam models. No offence to the Harleyistas on here but I didn't really like them. No performance compared to the Jap and Euro bikes I rode, which is to be expected. And the cornering clearance was a worry.
But I took an Ultra for a weekend away and that was a comfy thing, not best suited for our roads, but would be great on interstates.
It actually toppled over while U turning on a very narrow street, I wondered how we'd lift the hefferlump, but my wife turned out to be much stronger than she looked 😅
I test drove a bunch of ricers, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Honda. Not one had power worth even discussing. Kind of like when a Camaro Big Block owner test drives a 5.0 no torque. I told my friend about it, and he said you have to rev them way high like ten grand. I'll stick with Harley anyway. I can corner and hit canyons like a bat out of Hell. See, I don't have one of those "Don't bogart that joint my friend" Sleazy Rider Harley's. Mine set up as a serious Motorcyclists Road Bike. A cross between a Hi-Way P-Trol and outlaw bikers bike. Nice and high, and can see over cars into traffic.

As soon as I get this stage 2 Whipple installed on this thing I'd really like to find some of those hellcats people are talking about. It ought to work nicely with the long tubes and other mods.

Just pulled up at thh gas station and a guy with a G body and an LS, chopping like a MF, was talking to a Harley rider in front of me. Clearly meant for me, he said the car runs 11.5 I just sat there and smiled knowing that this Mustang has an easy low 10 in it with the Whipple. It's a stick, so I'm not touching a 9, but I can't wait to get it all together. The best part is that the car pretty much looks like regular traffic right off the lot.

Yep, the DA driving the Jag lucked out on that one. Most every time I notice a British brand I think of the old joke that the reason the Brits drink their ale warm is because Lucas Electronics built their refrigerators.
