In that case how do they feel about the hood/bonnet? I mean are they enamored enough to purchase a clear one?No, people i know do not do it for heat. They do it because they want to see an engine.

Beats me, never asked. These are older muscle car guys, so i figure they are old school and like the look of the engine and not some plastic piece. In that case how do they feel about the hood/bonnet? I mean are they enamored enough to purchase a clear one?
Ah as in anti-sticker crowd (stickers are quicker when waxed style).Beats me, never asked. These are older muscle car guys, so i figure they are old school and like the look of the engine and not some plastic piece.
Edit, actually some of them are 20s to 30s and also do it, but they are car guys.
Yeah, I miss the days of a pretty engine... Modern engines uncovered are not pretty! The Gen. 4 Coyote engine (Mustang in this case) provides a lot of bang per Liter / Cu. In.
The Gen. 4 Coyote, it's predecessors, and most modern engines today will never win a beauty contest. Toping a Gen 4. with SC does help. Short of that (including w/SC) the engine from a "looks" and presentation viewpoint are......... underwhelming.
My opinion.
Cover on - Toilet seat/cover down
Cover off - Toilet seat/cover up
@Farmer Fran - I voted no on your pole. When I installed my Ford Performance SC I had to remove the cover and intake. If I hadn't gone the SC route the cover would still be in place. I love the HP of modern engine but miss the days of dressing up a built engine to the nines. Dressing up an engine is still possible but limited compared to "back in the day".
I'll say this too - If this is something you're contemplating do it and to heck with what anyone else thinks including myself.
Yeah, but how do I vote? If I had one, I would leave it on... technically, even though I don't have one, I did not remove it... so, no for me!I changed my vote to no because I misunderstood the question. I have removed the cover to clean the engine bay. I did not permanently remove it for esthetics.
There are no wires under the cover. It just goes over the intake runner.I read online that people discovered rodents right under the cover. If it does nothing, except enhance the looks (according to some people), then I say remove it. Unless I'm missing something. It doesn't look like it protects any of the wires in any way.
oh yes there are! There are no wires under the cover. It just goes over the intake runner.
