Special ordered and picked up almost a month ago. Its now "mod time". Not planning to do much but I do want to add a stage 1 whipple. Im also planning to do the steeda STH kit at least. Who would be best to have the whipple installed? Ive reached out to multiple local dealers and performance shops but the dealers are looking at 3-4k just for install. Any recommendations, particularly in the Southeast? Im in middle GA. Anyone have Steeda do their install? Thanks in advance.

Ford Dealership did mine. Yes, there are a ton of aftermarket tuners out there who could probably get you more juice... I think MAP in England has a "Stage 1.5" kit which I think is just a more aggressive tune for cars with a Stage 1 + Headers.

HOWEVER, if you want the Whipple/Ford Performance warranty then have a dealership do it. Whenever something goes wrong with the car, the tune, the warranty overwrites blah blah blah it goes back to Ford where I simply hand them the keys and say "Fix it" and it gets done.

Ya I lean toward the dealer for ease of future maintenance/repair. Problem I have is I dont completely trust my local dealer to do the install based on the buying experience. The quote Ive got from one of large Ford dealers in the state want to charge 14.5k. I could be wrong but that seems fairly high? No? Ive gotta plead ignorance on this.

That is totally fair... I actually drove 45 minutes out of my city to a dealership that had a good reputation for installing Superchargers and had a YouTube Video out showing them install on a GT. The combination between the rating/reviews and the video is what sold me and I haven't regretted it since. Blackstock has taken good care of me.

Agree with @MCS and being rather circumspect in one's consideration of dealers. That said, the same dealer from whom I bought my recent DH also did the install of my SC. Pricey, but they did it in just over a day. They did forget to reinstall about 6 screws in my splitter--but they are fixing that. I can't account for one of my wheels, which was curbed--don't think it was me, but too small a rash to litigate. IN any event, the accessory guys and the service guys have been pretty good to me.

I will say, that the SC adds some not insignificant weight (100lbs+) to the front end, which (to me) changes the driving characteristic a bit. The increase in weight up front "feels" like I experience more inertial resistance to stopping, at normal speeds and more so decelerating from higher speeds. I also rub/scrape more in places where previously I had no clearance issues. Sometimes, when downshifting, the car "feels" a bit more, IDK, clunky, then it did without the SC--but that could be me getting used to things. I can say, compared to my 2020 GT500, I like the DH w/handling pack and SC better. But, the GT500 was better...balanced--I think that's the word for it.

In any case, I'd like a stiffer set of front springs that keeps me at stock ride height--but I haven't found that miracle, yet. So, I may go with Steeda's spacer kit. Just need someone who can install it.

Good luck...you'll love the SC

Check out the Steeda Minimum Drop springs. I just cross-graded to those from the original Sport Progressives. The Minimum Drop are 200lbs / inch. I am adding 20" wheels (again) tomorrow when Apex has their Labour Day Sale. If I need more I will look at BMR as I heard a rumour they have 270lb/in?

I like my 19s...and, I may be wrong, but I thought the DH spring rate was something like 214 (I could be misplacing by brain cells on that one). BMR did reach out to me and they do have a heavier spring--but they come with a drop. But, that in concert with the Steeda spacer kit might be what I'm looking for. That kind of trial and error can get expensive, though.

Note: BMR spring may not be compatible with MagneRide and the Steeda spacer kit would force me to buy their strut mount.

LOL yes it can. I went

- Ford Mustang DH Handling Pack Spring
- Steeda Sport Progressive
- Steeda Minimum Drop

Sadly, Ford does not advertise the Handling Pack spring rate so it's all about experimentation.

That combined with the 20" wheels (which will give me sort of a Shelby stance with the 20x10 and 20x11.5) should give me more than enough clearance.

Life has been decent to me so the journey is part of the experience.

Copy all. Life hasn't been bad to me, I'm just reluctant to fully participate in my moderate good fortune.

OP, didn't mean to hijack your thread. Ride/ride height seems to be something of an ongoing concern, particularly for those with whipples.

I didn't realize notice the additional weight after my SC install. OEM springs, not lowered.

I recommend getting the Ford Performance Whipple. Install should be between $2k (low) - $4k (high). Any certified performance shop can do this for you while maintaining your warranty, plus they can install the Steeda STH at the same time.
