Whipple intake tube “Supercharged” vinyl letters

I’m fortunate enough to be close to the company Anchor Room and they now have vinyl letters for the intake tube. Below is a quick look not installed. Check out their website, great company and these look great.

Decided to go do something different. The grey looked good. Since it’s hard to match Vapor blue I decided to go with a flag theme to go with the Ford Performance plates.

Yes no transfer tape… I used the cheapest clear tape. Actually packing tape and put it over each letter.. Don’t press super hard on the tape. Just enough to have the letter stick to it..then since you have the clear tape you can see where to place the letter. Lightly press to stick the letter to the tube. To remove the clear tape start at the edge of the letter and slowly pull the clear tape off while holding the exposed letter… this was the best method that worked for me… or you could use tweezers and place each letter on..

It’s not one piece each letter is separate on the backing paper. This might help you out

I have just done this to my intake tube. Wear a rubber glove (surgical-style latex glove) on your off hand, and use your non-gloved hand to guide. The letter will not stick to the glove the way it can stick to your fingers.

Take your time, lightly place and make sure it where you want to be. I used a plastic pry tool to press into place. Once it was all done, I used my heat gun on low to make sure they adhered.

I have used decals that were laid out in curve’s before, just because you’ve never seen them, doesn’t mean they don’t exist. Also there is zero indication on their website that says anything about them not being laid out the same as the tube. I’m very capable of applying them, but found it frustrating they promote an item without saying exactly what to expect.

It really wasn’t hard to put the letters on.. I don’t understand why being in the curve would make a difference when they are individual.. Should the website say these are cut straight and each letter must be applied separately or these are cut at a curve that resembles the intake tube and must be applied separately?

I am staring at my SUPERCHARGED decals wondering where to start, so this really helps. Going to try your method.
