yes.. that is exactly what i am worried about.. because with 1 inch, it is practically flush..

Doug
question is, with nothing else done to the vehicle on the wheels, so stock, do you get any rubbing after you installed the 1 inch spacers on the back?? i was going to add the 1 inch and a half but after seeing some of the 1 inch, i noticed it is practically flushed.. so the 1 1/2 would be much to far out..

Doug
Yeah I'm wondering the exact same. I'm completely stock adding 1" spacers all the way around. Think I'll be fine and I don't track the car or anything, but also don't want rubbing over speedbumps... I'll never hear the end of it from my wife ;)

You gotta factor in what wheels people have and if they have camber plates and what not. I don’t think you can run 1/2 without cutting the studs (don’t recommend this) or getting slip on spacers with extended wheels studs.
only time i ever had to consider cutting the studs was for mustangs with the magniride.. those studs are longer than the ones that come without it.. has anyone on here without the magniride needed to make further modifications??

If 1” is too much for the rear what do you recommend? 1/2”?

1” in the front is ok?
based on what i have read here, it seems that maybe the 1 inch (25mm) is the way to go to be on the safe side.. biggest concern with going bigger which would be much nice cause of the wider stance, is the fact that when you hit a bump, the rear doesnt rub the tire against the frame of the vehicle..

I put on 20mm Steeda spacers and it looks perfect to me. Bought from CJ Pony Parts as I only live 45 miles from them. I'll take some pictures tomorrow.

You will NOT have any issues with 20/25mm spacers on stock wheels & standard suspension at all. Only issue is if they are compatible with Magneride.

Does it matter if you have PP with 275 in rear vs the 255? What about magnaride?

You didn't have to cut wheel studs down (non-Magneride) with stock wheels for the 20mm spacer? I assumed you needed minimum 25mm/1" spacer to not have to modify stock wheel studs, but would be good to know if they work with 20mm spacers too without cutting on stock wheels.

I did not cut anything. Bolted right up and smooth as before they were installed.

Good to know. Guess that small gap/recess in the stock wheels behind works for the stock studs. Cause they stuck out further than what I thought they would on the 1" spacers.

Steeda 1" spacers on all 4 wheels / stock springs.

Last 2 pics are "before"

No rubbing, but I'll follow up after driving a little more.

My car doesn’t have Magneride. Most companies will state if the spacers won’t work with Magneride.

https://www.cjponyparts.com/steeda-hub-centric-wheel-spacers-mustang/p/WHSP47/

These are the spacers I purchased and clearly state in the description WILL NOT work with Magneride. Not sure why not.
The reason they wont work with magnaride is due to the studs being longer than the normal ones..

You would have to cut them which isn’t recommended at all..

That looks really nasty and fly.. the 1 inch it is then.. it sits flush.. ordering my 2nd set now.. had the 1 inch for the front but the 1.5 inch for the rear.. not gonna chance it that wide in the back because of your pics i can imagine the rear will sit much farther out.. might cause issues with bumps in the road.. i think.. if anyone has bigger on the rear please let us know..

I haven't seen a modern wheel apart but it used to be that the studs were pressure fitted. If somebody damaged one by cross threading or a nut rusted on so bad you had to damage the stud to get the wheel off, you would drive the bad stud out and replace it. Really confused somebody when you had a side with left hand threads and somebody replaced one stud with a right hand one. In any case, if they are still pressure fitted, perhaps somebody could supply studs of the required length.
