If my stop the hop kit ships soon like I hope it does, hopefully next week I’ll be singing Steeda’s praises just as loudly!

Is wheel hop only in manuals?
I have 2024 DH auto. I’ve not experienced wheel hop with it (yet). Only floored it from dead stop once to check 0-60 time. Wheel spin but no wheel hop. Only experienced it once in many years of hot rodding in a 1969 Chevelle SS396 manual.
I’m considering the Steeda rear suspension parts but not convinced I need them for wheel hop. Would maybe get some improved handling.
Had Ford install Steeda stop the hop kit and a one piece aluminum driveshaft when they installed the whipple. They ordered all the parts.

I have a 2024 GT Premium with Performance Pack. I noticed wheel hop from day 1 and I don't drive it that hard. The most noticable is accelerating while turning as when pulling out of a lot or driveway into traffic. I had the Steeda kit installed (minus the braces as this is a vert) and noticed immediate improvement. I added the progressive springs (Magna ride version) vertical links, competition sway bars, adjustable toe links and adjustable camber plates. The handling went from pretty good to amazing! Having said all that, in cooler temperatures, traction is still reduced and you can still get some wheel hop on spirited acceleration, but a VERY clear improvement with the Steeda parts! All this is on the OEM Pzero tires.
That is the LSD causing that not the suspension.

If you start running stickier tires and launch it, it could hop. If it hops, it can break suspension components. Always let off and roll back on it if you feel hop in any car off the line. And that's hop you can feel. Adding some sort of STH kit from Steeda (or competitors) is cheap and helps the car avoid wheel hop as well as passively helping the car to accelerate a little faster in a straight line from a launch.

I have a 24 GT Convertible 10 speed. Took it to the drag strip and got hop on launch, and 3-4 shift. Added Steeda basic kit—didn’t need the body bracing as the convertible is already braced, but purchased the other 2 pieces for the rear. Helped, but still had a slight hop. Track is 1,000 feet up in the air, not the greatest weather, ran 12.3 @ 115.
