Does going with a larger size rear wheel have an impact on performance? I currently have 19" wheels all around but want to go with 20" in the rear. Would larger wheels have any effect on the computer and/or the car's performance?

I've looked at wheel width recommendations and it seems 295/35-19 are suitable on the standard staggered wheel sizes for a square set up without new wheels.
True? Or not?

I think you have to mess with camber on the front to run anything wider than 285

285 is usually the easy square setup... on 10" wheels (not the stock ones). Some do run wider on the stock staggered set, 295 may fit on the 9.5" rear wheel (check tire min rim size), but they will not fit the 9" fronts.

Aren't the PP's with 255/40-19 and 275/40-19 on 9.5" fr and 10" rr rims? That's the info I had and the chart I saw said 295's will fit within the alowable rangel
You think not?

PS. I double checked, you're right 285 is it. But that's OK if I can get the tyres I want in 285 or even stick with 275 squared.

I believe the PP are 9 and 9.5, the base DH are 9.5 and 10, with same tires. On my DH, I put the rear 275s on the front and mounted 305/35s Pirellis on rear with no problems.

As @Cobrakit said, the PP has 9" F and 9.5"R... the Darkhorse has 9.5" F and 10" R with the same size tires. I wouldn't run a square set of tires on staggered wheels. A cheap and easy setup for more rubber would be to move the rear tires to the front wheels and get wider tires for the rear. If you want sqare and factory wheels, you may be able to buy some take offs from someone that got new ones.

I don't necessarily want wider rubber all round, just the same size to give me a wider front tyre.
And probably easier to get tyres when needed.
Here's our Low VolumeVehicle Tech spec sheet.

50mm on each wheel? That's just asking for bearing trouble or worse.
Not 50mm per wheel. 1x 25mm/1inch spacer per front wheel and you can mount an 11" wheel with 52mm offset on all corners. I do it for autocross. I have no issues with my wheel bearings.
