Winter tire setup for GT PP + Magneride: Staggered or Squared?

Thoughts on a staggered or squared winter tire package?

I'm in Toronto with snowy days but I don't drive much in the winter; sometimes to work (20 km) or to visit family (50 km).

Heard squared is better for snow driving and staggered is better for handling in cold weather and not a lot of snow.

Pros and cons?

I'd run with a squared set up. That will allow rotation (every other season/front to back) and add longevity for your snows. If it were me; hands down for our Mustangs; I'd run with 19 x 9 wheels and 255/40/19 snows (they'll wear VERY quickly at over 45F). I endorse Bridgestone Blizzaks and/or General Ultimax Arctics (both aren't to be driven at more than a sustained 80 MPH). If you're going to be blasting through the snow on the way to Grandmas; you'd probably be better off with Pirellis or Michelins with a higher speed rating.

Toronto aswell, running squared for winters. No need for staggered in winter season

I am in SE Michigan and run a 255 - 40 x 19 all around for winter. The speedometer is off just under 1 mph at 70 according to my Waze GPS so not a big deal.
