What other cars do you like besides Mustangs?

I've owned 8 Mustangs and I bleed Ford Blue. But I love all kinds of cars. Im curious to see what other cars people have hobbies in besides Mustangs. Ive owned a couple of Camaros, and Ive always liked the 300ZX. I recently got bit by the Porsche bug and im loving it.

Yeah, I understand that and have been there and done that. Since then, only my Wife has the Porsche bug and she‘s welcome to that. I am a Ford Mustang GT guy from here on out. I Loved that Cayman’s handling and nimbleness. It was a 2008 ”S” Model and had a few upgrades done to it when I purchased it. It was fun and sounded pretty good with the upgraded exhaust setup.

Enjoy it and you have the options right there too.

I like most American muscle and pony cars. Love my TRX for a daily driver and family hauler. I like some Italian cars, too and came close to buying one instead of the Dark Horse, but other life milestones put that on the back burner.

If I could have one of my old cars back, it would be the IROC.

To keep this from being too long, I'm only going to talk about current-model cars. If I had the money and a place to park it, I would love a Lotus Emira with a manual transmission, dark green metallic paint, tan interior, and silver wheels. The Porsche 911 is cool, of course. I thought the 7th-generation Corvette was beautiful, but I have not warmed up to the 8th generation at all. While some generations (4 and 6) of the Corvette were too plain for my taste, the C8 is overstyled. Plus, no manual transmission.

I think the Subaru BRZ and the Mazda Miata are pretty cool. I think the Nissan Z is fairly appealing.

First car I had was a '55 Chevy Bel Air 2-door hardtop, was my parent's car, they gave it to me for graduating college, then spent several thousand dollars having body panels replaced. Sold it as it still needed a lot more body work and I lost interest. I bought an '87 Camaro IROC-Z, replaced the engine twice, going from the 305 to a 355, then to a 385. Had it for nearly 20 years until I wrecked it by falling asleep at the wheel an early morning. I bought the GTO to replace it, and have it for 11 years, doing a lot of suspension mods and a few engine mods. I'd love to have a C8 Vette, might buy myself one as a retirement present several years from now.

Great thread! If I didn't live in such a busy city, I'd have a big stupid truck. Any other cool car on my mind, like the mk4 Supra or Dodge Viper are probably well out of what I can afford.

I tune mustangs, but I choose to drive corvettes. I've had two C8s recently and a number of C6's. I will be getting a C8 Z06 here shortly.

In addition to the Mustang, right now I am working on a project with one of my grandsons. A 1974 Triumph Spitfire. He wanted to work on a project car with me and his first choice was a 1999 TransAm like we used to have, but I told him we needed to look at something easier. The Triumph is on a frame, not unibody.

I wanted to go with a TR6 but he liked the Spitfire and since it will end up his car we bought that. His Mom and my wife both thought he will never fit in the car (he is over 6' tall) but we took a picture of him sitting in a running car to show that he does fit - seat has to be all the way back but he fits.

I told my wife that now I am thinking about picking up a TR6 for myself when we finish the Spitfire. I'm getting the itch for another convertible in the summer.

Lets see the GTO.

Picture from a couple weeks ago when I bolted up the new wheels/tires. Had 4 18" GTO wheels widened 1" and 275/35 tires mounted. 15mm spacer up front to keep them away from the coilovers, perfect fit in the back.

I love all cars, some more than others. I don't think there's a car I hate.

I've had 4 Camaros ..a 72, 91 RS, 91 Z28, 98 Z28. Loved them all. Then got a 300M just to make long trips nicer, but it got boring. Then got a Plymouth Prowler and drove it for 6 years. That was a circus on wheels. But I missed a V8 and a trunk. Got the 06 GT and loved it for all the 17 years I owned it. Loved the 3V V8 sound out the Flowmasters!

In the end, I love most of all a nice V8 sound and feel. I have had all kinds of other cars...first car was a used/abused 74 Gran Torino with a 351 Cleveland. It was a hunk o' crap, but at 17 it was freedom. Always will have a soft spot for that car.

I learned to drive in an '82 Z28. I later had a '96 Z28 and a '99 SS. Then went back to Mustang with an '08 GT.

I currently own a 22 Mach 1 HP, and a Ford truck as a daily. Then an RV for road trips. If I had the space (well, space and a wife who liked cars as much as me) I would add a 16-20 GT350 because I really am a fan. I'd love to snag a 19 Bullitt. Or a 19 Corvette. Camaros, for me, meh. I did own a Charger Scat Pack for a bit. Felt like I had an automotive fling with the Charger... Lots of fun but wouldn't introduce to my mother...
