Now you are talking major mods, not just putting a tune in an otherwise stock motor to get what HP/Torque was left inside due to being unable to meet CARB or EPA regulations by say adding timing to the tune which will raise the nitrous oxide emissions

A stock motor or even one with a Cold Air Intake is pretty much maxed out and what little, if any HP gains you get are not worth the cost of the tune and dyno time to get them.

If you want to run E85 have at it, but you really need a system that can measure the amount of ethanol in the gasoline and visa versa because it is not consistent. GM uses a sensor to determine the percentages and adjusts the maps for it. Does the Mustang system allow for
that ?

As for pulling the cats and adding long tube headers, sorry I am not going to void the warranty just yet. I'd rather go with the supercharger and retain the warranty and hit the 800HP number

As for fuel my car runs on a steady diet of 93 octane ethanol free gas, in a pinch I use R90

93 octane is going to give me resistance to "pinging" even though the knock sensors will dial back the timing if it detects pre detination and allow the full 29 degrees of ignition timing

And it does not void the warranty

PS did you notice that no 5.0 after 2023 either in the Mustang or F150 is set up to run corn juice from the factory?
29 degrees of timing??? On 93 are you insane? Ok I’m out. No more free lessons for you.

Ray at DRP was able to do some magic with Ford's current logic and get the cpu to adjust timing and fuel tables for the Ethenol you put in anywhere from 10%-90% very quickly.
I have been running his tune for 6 months now and I was on 93 all winter then slowly back to e70 now. A/F ratio adjusts according and the car runs like a top.
It's damn good and I don't have to constantly reflash cpu or worry about what ethenol % I run.

Generally we see 40-60hp to the wheels gains. More broken in cars tend to make on the high side. But 40-50 is safe to assume for a stock gen4 5.0 om e85 tune only.
Are you saying you see 40 to 60 HP gains on a straight 93 oct tune? SofaKing was asking what gains might be had with just straight gas 93 oct and no add-ons stock motor.

I'm also confused since I want to know the same thing. What are the gains for a stock GT when using 91 or 93.

There is some crazy talk in this thread. Throw out out dyno numbers

show me ET/Trap MPH gains from a tune.
If a car stock is running 11.9/118 MPH…. You’re telling me with just a tune they’re gonna see mid 11s /122 plus?

I’ve year to see any of this in the real world….. at all.

Remember people are counting a fuel change (e85) with the 'tune' gains these days.

What is the crazy talk? There is only one post with dyno numbers, post #5, and it talks about E85 and a tune, which should net something at the drag strip in addition to the dyno, and then headers, catalytic converter delete E85 tune Cobra Jet intake manifold with Boschma adapter plate reaching 500 horsepower on the dyno. Again, that ought to show up in the e.t. and mph. What am I missing?

Yes, but he seems to be addressing a claim not made in this thread by anybody.

There was a question asked, and some miscommunication, with an answer back that reflects an E85 tune.

I don't want to start an internet battle. I am just pointing out that there is not any crazy talk about "just a tune" in this thread.

For a quick note on this - E85 tuning for a stock coyote will net you 50-60 hp to the wheels over stock.

This is why trap speed matters, because these claims are wild or just dyno fxckery.

How does 125mph fit you? Because that’s the typical e85 tune/dr time I see with my folks. That work or nah?

What are you seeing WITHOUT going to e85?
If you stick with a 92/93 octane can you still make gains?
Stock s650 we just did 472 to the wheels on our brand new Dynojet hub dyno. 492 on e85.
