You've never tried marmite on soft white bread with crips? You haven't lived.
PS you spread it thinly, don't eat it out of the jar.

Vegemite on toast with a slice of cheese is bloody awesome, and yes spread it thinly.

A weird one I'm partial to is dipping a celery stick into peanut butter, odd combo but tastes good.

Every time I see an American trying Vegemite, they always try it out of the jar, not spread across something. I think just about every Aussie would say that is THE worst way to eat Vegemite. But spread on thin or thick on a piece of bread with butter, even better if combined with a slice of cheese.

My favourite, but now forbidden since becoming a coeliac, a very thick slice of sourdough, toasted with lashings of olive oil spread and a somewhat thick layer of vegemite. Bliss.
