What sort of rims are you getting? Are you going wider, staggered or square setup?
I'm in debate with myself about switching once the Pirelli's are done.
Probably worth its own thread
It's back with vengeance in Aus.
What used to be unique on the road late last year is becoming more commonplace, sales are healthy to say the least.
Apologies if this is behind a paywall

It's a 900 x 600 TurtleWax towel, maybe not as good as Bowdens etc...anyhow been meaning to get something to blow off water before towelling anyway and the BloDryer seemed cheap compared to investing in a new battery platform.
Car has PPF and IGL ceramic on it and I top it off after each wash...
Just bought the Blo Dryer to give it a go. I figure I've already got an extension cord out for the gurney so this shouldn't be too much of a PITA.
Just want something light/manageable to get some surface water off b4 towelling it. I'm finding one towel doesn't quite get the job done
Now I'm thinking the Blo dryer you and xrs posted might be better for me. Cause it's heated, it might also be handy for healing scratches in my PPF (used cautiously). The only drawback is that it's corded.
Food for thought, thanks all.
I'm not that keen on spending $900+ on something that will only ever get used to dry my car (I have a blower/vac already) so I'll prob head down the 530 path with a 2.5Ah battery for $429.
It'll be good enough for what it needs to do and as a bonus my neighbour uses Ego tools so if I run out of...
I'm 3.5 mths in and about to tick over 2,000km.
One thing I have noticed is a noise coming through the air vents at around 2,000-3000rpm - its just a small hum/whir and I suspect it something to do with the air con (no it's not the induction sound, that's different and music to the ears)
I...
1500km in and I've got my first dent, passenger side door about half way down.
Got an old couch in the garage and the corner of the armrest lines up perfectly with where the dent is i.e. my son has flung the door open getting out and hit it at some point in the last week :curse:
And the current S650 range from these suppliers is pretty lack lustre/non existent in Aus - they are really dragging their heels, there's tons of stuff in the US.
These guys recently did a video on Ego power tools as well.
It's an Ad with an Ego rep in the vid but it at least showcases what they have available and what they can do.
Awesome thanks mate, I'm on the Ryobi platform but I suspect no matter what I buy I'll also be up for some after market attachments for car detailing which is good to know for budgeting purposes.
I've tried the Dyson a few times and I agree it's junk for doing the mats and carpet or anything...
Hi @5.0ALM,
It's been 8 weeks since it got my car wrapped and coated and so far it's excellent, no complaints. Therefore would you mind adding Mint Paint Protection to the sticky for Sydney based owners?
