My wife is from Japan, I've seen them have a Shinto Priest do a blessing on the car for safety. Also going to the local shrine and get a charm from the local shrine for safety in the vehicle. I love different Asian cultures. I have been to Korea for the Army when I was with the 25th Infantry Division for Team Spirit excercises and to Japan a ton of times.
